To all, I am back in-country again, don't know how long though. When I installed the T5 behind the 223, I used John Mummert's adapter setup because mine had a 3 spd in it. With using the adapter plate, you have to use the later T5 with the very long input shaft to compensate for the thickness of the...

When I changed out my 1995 T5 to a 1996 T5, all that needs done is to remove the elect speedo sender from the hole and insert the regular cable drive in it.

I've mounted a large Truck type air tank under the rear of mine to support my Air Horns, so the standard spare just rides in the bed loose.

Before I put the T5 in mine, I had a Mr. Gasket floor shift for the 3spd. Not very sturdy and was not impressed with it, but it was the only thing available in short order when I needed one.

I left the Settle Inn about 7:30 Sun morning, got to Globe at 11:00AM on Monday. Took about a 2 hour snooze somewhere in northern New Mexico, just couldn't make it in a single run, but the leftover adrenelin kept me going for a good long spell. Ready for the next one! Thanks for all the effort to ma...

Chris,

Been so long ago, but I think I am using the Autolite 46 plugs. Are you sure you have the right one? I don't remember having any fitment problems, maybe just a varience in the distributers.

When I did mine, I went with the matching coil, and run .045 gap on the plugs.

When I installed the disks on the front of my 62, I also got all the hardware for the later model and installed the self-adjuster setup on it. You will have to make a new slot in the backing plate on one side so you will be able to back it off if you ever need to as the star wheel lines up with the ...

Doug,

Way back when I used to do Fleet work, I would now & then find that the plastic material that makes up the Turn Signal Switch would have been a little warm and the little contacts kind of sunk into the material enough to lose contact. Might be worth looking at.

When I installed then T5 in my 62, I replaced the Column and all the shifter components for the 3 spd with parts from a 4 spd, so I think I still have all the 3spd stuff collecting dust out in the garage. If there is some way to get the stuff to you from SS, I will throw it all in and bring it along...
