I think he car big block overdrive is a T85/R11 and the truck overdrive is a T89/R11 with the u-joint bolted to the trans.

I like the 60's Autolite 2100's. Readily available, good on gas, easy to work on. But what you have should work also if clean and rebuilt.
Unless you go 4v, then an 400 or 500 CFM autolite 4100 is good. 1.08 diameter should be fine.
