That is not only possible, but probable.

I've come across many examples of such minor variations with Fords manufactured prior to the heavily automated assembly lines.

Re: Were the rubber mats screwed in around the perimeter

Here's a few shots of the mat in my 66. I've had two slicks and have been around many others and this one is the most original, unmolested slick I've seen in a long time. And it has no screws in the rubber mat. These shots are of the top corners of the mat and one of the edge of the mat near the edg...

Re: 2015 Pate Swap Meet

Haven't been to Pate in a few years but it's a nice big swap meet (although Conroe is gaining ground on it, size-wise, every year).

I remember fondly the days of Pate out in the country/hills, but those days are long gone.

That's pretty nice for $200.

I've been looking for a really cheap C-Class like that for me and my boys to use.

Re: Tire Jack and Handle Stowing Location

The jack/handle setup I have is the old-school ratcheting bumper jack....and it's in the same condition as the rest of my 66...very original, wearing original paint, nicely preserved. I had it in the bed of my truck at an old car gathering last year and a guy who professed to be an F100 guru went nu...

That's what I'm starting to suspect.

Maybe I'll scavange a setup from a 67 and use in my 66.

I hate having the jack loose under the seat.

Do you mean....the wheel well in the engine bay?

Tire Jack and Handle Stowing Location

I have the factory original jack and handle for my 66 Styleside, but haven't any idea where it's supposed to mount.

Anyone know?

Spare Tire Carrier Dimensions

I'm looking for a spare tire carrier (under-bed type) for my F100 and have had one offered to me but it came out of an F250.

Are the dimensions the same in that area (between the frame rails)....ie...would the carrier fit both of the models?

Re: 1/12/15-A bad day.....

That does suck...especially on a straight original old girl like that. I've been pulling my hair out over this topic lately though. About a year ago, I bought my daughter a 2002 F150 to drive back and forth to college in. Totally straight, clean, low mileage (72,000) truck. After a year of sitting i...

Re: Patina sounds great doesn't it.

I like to think my 66 shows what the original meaning of "patina" was before the ratrod fad hit. It has 95% of the original paint present in good shape with a few worn spots showing the primer. http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn11/rustyfords/66%20F100/20140820TailgateLetters_zps89588c6e...

Re: Pulling a trailer with 240 6.

I need to do exactly that.

My boys want to go camping in something pulled behind my 66....something vintage looking. And, we wouldn't care if it was bare-bones inside, as long it kept us warm and dry.

Re: Before and after - pics of your truck's new look

My plan is to leave most of my 66 alone since the original paint is in great shape, however, the tailgate and rear bumper needed some assistance in order to match the overall shape of the rest of the truck. So...I removed the nasty rear dealer-installed bumper, installed a painted contour bumper and...

That trailer is awesome looking.

Did you use a set of plans or just create it from scratch?

Re: Pulling a trailer with 240 6.

Your main limitation will the top speed you can attain....not whether the 240 will pull it. It's a torquey little sucker and will easily pull it along, it just may not want to run at interstate speeds.

So your choice of roads/route will be more important than anything else.

Re: Will a 300 DSii fit in a 240?

I'm also interested in getting rid of my spark valve carb. Mainly because you can't find new ones and you can only rebuild the old ones so many times. As far as using a Duraspark dizzy, I'm assuming you have to run a vacuum advance line to it...is that correct? Would you just tap a vacuum source, li...

Humble Swap Meet

I'll be at the Humble Swap Meet this coming Sunday.

Look for my Sahara Beige and White 66 (I'm not selling it...just using it to haul swap meet parts since it's my only truck at the moment).

I'll have an extra chair and a cooler full of cold drinks.
