I know this is old but I have successfully cut down long bed sides and mounted them to my short bed box. It was a ton of work but was my only option.

Im currently building a 66 F100 it was a 6 cyl soon to have a 390 in it, my question is do I need to move the egine pearchs to the rear holes or can they stay where they were for the 6 cyl. Thanks for any input.

Just wanted to say hi, new to the site but not new to the old Ford pickups. I have had a couple my first truck was a 1966 F250 352 4spd long bed, and im currently building a 1966 F100 short bed, it was a 6cyl stick im converting to 390 4spd. I look forward to chatting with you all..
