Re: 1964 sb with rear bumper or not?

Yes, not going bumper less. My 1994 shortbox, just got written off, parked in front of my house. Good point!. I purchased exactly what your pictures show, never installed, second hand, sitting in a guys garage for 4 years, in an unopened box, bumper, brackets and all bolts for $325, and they were lo...

1964 sb with rear bumper or not?

Hi, (poll above)

Wanting opinions of people who like the chrome rear bumper or no chrome rear bumper?

Original plan was to put a roll pan on it, but I have a change to buy a near new chrome bumper.
This is not the checker plate step bumper, it is a rear bumper that looks very similar to the front.

I love the grille, and turn lamps in the bumper.

Is the grille stock or modified that used to have turn lamps in the grille?

Re: INTAKE MANITOLD STUCK

You could make a tool, I have done similar but with a 4cyl aluminum alfa motor, separating head from block. The tool would become a 'custom intake puller'. What you can do, is create a tool where 'feet' or the lower part of the tool can rest on the heads, not touching the intake. Then, from the top ...

Any way to tell if it is a 'real' NAPCO?
Current truck for sale, has a 'NAPCO' badge on cowl.

Not a slick, but a very nice looking bump side!

From what I know, NAPCO customized the trucks drive train, different transfer case, front end and rear end.
A lot stronger, possibly the strongest drive train available.

Thanks.

NAPCO Slick 4x4 - any info appreciated

Re: Slick Stock 8 Information REVISED!

I really want to get to Slick Stock. Have been wanting to go for 6 years(actually 3).

Current stat of truck:
- disassembled
- no paint (some original, some not)

Should I just slap the fenders on, radiator back in, bleed the brakes and just go?

Interesting, great suggestion.

So, anyone have a 'Falcon Club Wagon' warranty plate, that shows differences than a regular 'Ford Econoline Van'??

Re: 1964 Mercury Econoline E-100 or EM-100

I'm still working on rebuilding my image links from that thread, but here's the front 2 pages of the 1964 shop manual: I have that manual, no mention of econoline. The http://www.mercurypickup.com/truck-data/ site has a ton of information about decoding Canadian VINs. Let me know if there are broke...

1964 Mercury Econoline E-100 or EM-100

I am needing to know what the VIN/Warranty plate looks like for a factory 1964 Mercury Econoline Van, and to be more specific a Travel Wagon.

Can a factory Mercury Econoline have just 'E-100' on the warranty plate?

MercuryPickup.com website

A few years ago, I was able purchase and rebuild the www.mercurypickup.com domain and website. I know someone here, or maybe on ford-trucks forum, had information about a paper registry. I am willing to put in some money and time to get this paper registry, make electronic, and contact people to mak...

Re: Too quiet around here......

I'm hoping to get to slickstock 2018, haven't driven my truck since 2003! Was hoping to have a garage built, last year, still working outside. All my new metal work, now rusty, again. Think I'll just bolt it back together, paint just covers up all the work thats been done underneath. Maybe I'll get ...

Been in the family since 1974, was my Dad's driver for 20 some years.
If that was my truck, I couldn't put a price on it, keep it in the barn, that shouldn't cost you much. Save it for the next generation.

Re: Mufflers

Sounds like you want 'Turbo Mufflers'. I put a set on my 460 years ago, can hear the lumpy cam, but noise is to a minimum, sounds decent when you get into the throttle, and doesn't wake up the household late at night. Quote: "work great as a “step-up” from a stock muffler and tend to be quieter...

Radiator Core Support $289-$325 + shipping(free on ebay)

I bought myself a radiator core support on ebay for $325 USD and free shipping. Being that I live on Vancouver Island, BC Canada, shipping usually is a killer, costing $125->300 for large parts. I found an ebay supplier, who is actually Obsolete & Classic Auto Parts, Inc. www.classicautoparts.co...

Re: Ford Fe C4SE 4V intake vs S code...how is the s code bet

Do you know the original application or if the rest of the engine was MADE IN CANADA? EDIT: Looks like I have been in the dark, I thought the FE era parts were all shipped form Detroit. Where is the foundry located? From my understanding, the engine was swapped from a '64 comet, but after research,...
