Re: Front parking lights help!
Here is the story. I have a 69 Marauder with the same set up. You can jump wires at the switch to fix this. You can "search" posts and you will find out how. The reason is parking lights were not mandated until 1968. Hint look at 1967 Cougar and Torino then compare with the following year.

I did not know these were made out of glass...ever. My '66 is plastic...so I think? I have the long speedometer, not the round one.

Re: new radio anyone?
I had Gary Tayman do my radio for $400.00. NOS appearance on the outside, modern guts and satellite on the inside. My 69 Marauder rocks with Sirius.

You may want to call me.
I have a 66 1/2 ton that I bought in South Carolina with amazing metal. I have a floorless 66 1/2 ton that I drove to the back yard that is a gift from the truck G-ds as a parts truck. I have the power steering conversion stuff and a 66 radiator support that could pass for NOS if I cared to lie abou...

Re: the holy grail of custom slicks!!!!
Before we pass judgment...remember... a team of engineers finished the AMC Pacer, stepped back and said "boys, I think we have a winner." If a guy built this in his garage, 'atta boy. I have PTSD over the electrical work I have been doing this month.

Re: Optima dry cell batteries
I have 3 cars with Optima deep cycles (yellow top). I have not bought a battery in over 10 years. I use battery tenders always.
I ran one dead ONE time. Charged it on the lowest setting I had. All was well. Deep cycle batteries take a long time to charge.

All of those ladies are gorgeous, however if you sister in law is responsible for all of them, a good argument against seperate vacations can be made.

Running lights
This question was asked and asnwered here, but I cannot find the post. I need the info for my 69 Merc Marauder, not my '66.
When I turn the headlights on, the parking lights/markers shut off and are only used as directionals.
How do I wire them up to stay on with the headlights.
Thanks

Re: Ezer's delima...
Everything is modified, it is just a question of degree. Keep in mind that when these things were new they were no great shakes.
We should make them start better, stop better, run better...etc. If you find a slick at Pebble Beach, let me know.

Re: Greybeard's headliners
That headliner console is what this hobby is all about. I get it. You are not thrilled with it. It would make a great home for a 23 channel C.B. radio, a trio of guages, a 5 inch tach with some toggle switches for accessories (i.e dome lights-fog lights-utility lights-back up lights-electric fan-ele...

Re: Kwiklift as bed stand
Today I moved my Kwiklift from the garage under the house to my workshop. From parking on it over the last 12 years or so (I was one of the first guys to run out and get one. Yes they are great) the road salt rusted her up pretty good (just cosmetic damage). I took the DA and some aircraft stripper ...
