Re: '62 F250 Monster Hauler build

Does anyone have a wiper switch? The actual knob with switch that mounts into the dash? Mine was missing when I got the truck. I've looked and they don't seem to replicate that part from what i can find. I need the bezel too. Any advice or direction would be great. Thanks. Here are some updated phot...

Re: '62 F250 Monster Hauler build

paint on the doors is all done finally. Now I can get them put back together. Feels good to have at least one thing done. Paint came out nice and I love the color combo. Re: '62 F250 Monster Hauler build

Well, due to having four project cars and running two side business its been a little while since I posted any updates. Let me get some updates going. Here is a quick vid of the engine running. Choke is not hooked up so you'll see that flapping about but you'll get the idea. https://www.youtube.com/...

Re: '62 F250 Monster Hauler build

Update on the Monster Hauler. I finally got to hear the motor through the new exhaust. It was short lived, seems my Craigslist carb is having some issues. This is after I replaced the points by the way which were toast. Fix one issue, find another. Not sure whats up with the carb. Swapping it out on...

Re: '62 F250 Monster Hauler build

@624WD I took it to a local shop where they moved over the lower hose connection. I didin't want to hassle with sending it out etc. so I just had it fixed. I just had to order another for our drag car, I made sure it had the port on the correct side for the Y-Block this time. So the Monster Hauler i...

Re: '62 F250 Monster Hauler build

Radiator is back in. Fixed the couple of minor leaks from when I broke it in a few months back. Fuel lines hooked up. Just need to add some water and do a final leak check. Fuel tank is just about ready to go back in place with new sending unit installed. Hope to get that done tomorrow. Then I can f...

Re: '62 F250 Monster Hauler build

Floor pans cleaned and POR15 applied. Also did more cleaning on the gas tank, its almost ready to reinstall. I finally got the pick up tube open which was my biggest concern. Now to prep and paint the jams and then I can get the doors back on. https://scontent.cdninstagram.com/hphotos-xfa1/t51.2885-...

Re: '62 F250 Monster Hauler build

I've ran a few cleaners through it now, the pick up tube is still clogged. I think whats on the bottom is a fine layer of rust so I have some rust dissolver I'm going to try next. Still working on that darn tube though. Hope I can get that opened up. The rest of the tank looks really good though. Ge...

Pretty clean considering its sat for 12 plus years. My only issue is the pick up tube is clogged. Wo...

Re: '62 F250 Monster Hauler build

Tonight I pulled the tank out of the monster hauler. I’ve been dreading it since the day I got the truck. There was about a cup of old gas in it which I was happy about. Too much fuel means I would have to take it to the hazard waste facility. No gas could mean more rust. It was dark when I took the...

Re: '62 F250 Monster Hauler build

Its been a while since I posted an update. Its been a very busy summer. I started a business and its taking all my energy. I was able to start on the exhaust last night. Pipes are welded and I was able to get one muffler welded on as well, no pics of that yet. Trying to finish it tonight then I need...

Re: '62 F250 Monster Hauler build

Been a while since I posted. i did fire the engine and broke it in. Ran very well, only a couple of minor leaks where my radiator hose connected, easily fixed. Cam sounds ridicules, Tim really did a great job on this little budget build. Big parts order came in yesterday. Driveline is all rebuilt an...
