Re: Gonna be asking a LOT of questions here....be prepared!

Years ago several of us discussed how it would be so nice to have a go-to web site that was as good as Fordification. Searching through pages of a forum to try to find what you seek just isn't time effective. Keith is THE MAN when it comes to this sort of stuff and I couldn't be happier to see him s...

Re: Windsor vs. FE

This is simplifying, but... Torque: power down low in the RPM range. This is more suitable for the work trucks do. HP: power up higher in the rev range. This is better for cars that you want to wind out and roar down the drag strip with. With those thoughts in mind I always recommend chasing torque ...

I'd look at doing just the roof white on that one if it were me.

Re: A quick hello and observation about the world outside

Hi Alan! The QS plate is in the garage in a place of honour currently. Didn't fit the holes in the Jeep bumper after selling the Subaru so it is in semi-retirement. If I ever get a 3rd gen Falcon I'll put it on that and you can help me find RHD parts to change it over. :) That will probably be my ne...

Re: Disc brake conversion under way

You may be surprised to find they come out easily. Mine did. All depends on the maintenance they had over the years.
Have you found my disc brake swap how-to page?

A quick hello and observation about the world outside

Hi everyone! :hello: It's been almost a year that I admitted I would never restore my '65 and sold it on. Last I heard it was in Maryland, hopefully giving someone as much joy as it gave me. I do occasionally miss it; still the best looking trucks Ford ever made but the next one I get will be finish...

Re: There's no such thing as a 200,000 mile car!

Lost my job and the company car with it. For my commuter car I'll probably be buying a '87 BMW 3 series, 188k miles but the odo stopped working before the current owner bought it. Pennsylvania car and no rust through.

Re: There's no such thing as a 200,000 mile car!

I did not read the article, but since I see many vehicles every day in my line of work I can tell you a few things. 1) Pretty much any vehicle made now can go 200,000 miles easily with even moderate maintenance. 2) My customer base is generally people with not a lot of money, so they tend to buy hig...

All-Ford show Harrisburg, PA Oct 18

L.B. Smith Ford hosts a Ford-only show each year at their dealership, 1100 Market street, Lemoyne 17043. I went last year and had a good time...food is provided by the local fire department and the show itself is FREE! I expect to go again this year and wanted to put the word out to any local Mid-A ...

Re: Need advise on Insurance! NOT STATE FARM

The only thing you can get from asking this question here is that there is no consistency in regards to insurance companies. Where you live, what you drive, what color shirt you wore this morning all will determine what your costs are. I've worked for 4 different insurers as well as stints as an ind...

Re: how to get my mechanic to install my motor after 4 month

all of them told me they would not take private jobs over the higher paying insurance work I wish someone would tell my body shops this. All they do is complain about how little we pay. Trying to get body and paint work done on restorations has become nearly impossible. It's a vicious cycle...they ...

Re: Wild bargain paint job article: I'm trying this.

I know a little bit about this subject, having painted my BMW race car with a roller. Downside: it is labor intensive. I used a different brand of paint (more on that in a minute) and it took about 6 coats to get good coverage. I wet sanded between coats to give the successive ones something to bite...

Tri-City Plating in TN did mine. They make the rounds of the car shows so you can drop off or pick up there and save yourself at least half the shipping. Good quality, fair price.

What calipers and master cylinder are you using? It sounds like maybe the master cyl bore size isn't correct.
