460 Leaking Coolant

Runs at 150 to 180 degrees with no issues. Nothing there after I drive it to Menards and back. Nothing on the driveway. Let it sit for a day or two and I get pooling of coolant on the intake manifold, only on the left side. Added some green in my picture to show where it pools. Replaced the bypass c...

Re: Oil idiot light wiring question

Rick, Its been over a year and now I have decided to go back to my flasher issue. I have the EZ 21 circuit kit. For the most part had no issues with it 90% hooked up and worked first time. Then I got to the flasher switch with 4 wires and the flasher light with 2 wires and the EZ kit with one brown ...

Last two numbers on '79 i-beams

I have read that 1979 D8TA-8-CA 46 and the D8TA-9-CA 42 i-beams are direct fit for the front disk swap.
I have found a entire front end but they are D8TA-8-CA 12 and D8TA-9-CA 10, what do the last two numbers refer to? Does it matter?

Thanks in advance

C6 Cooling Lines

Getting ready to run new lines from the trans to the radiator. Didn't pay attention to what line went to the top of the rad and what went to the bottom when I removed the old ones. I believe the trans out in the front and return is the back... so would the top of the rad be the in and bottom the out...

I went shade tree style and took a few bolt to Menards got hole big bags of, bolts, washers, nuts for like $6.00 - some J-NUTS at Ace Hardware 65 cents each went easy on those. I know its not correct, but neither is my truck. CK

UNIFAN - let me say my original comment of "not much done" was not meant as you did nothing to it - all your trucks have a build level that I have the most respect for. I would be happy to drive the wheels off of it.

Way different trucks very close on price.

I know a lot of talk was given to the restored one - I was watching the other slammed truck with nothing really done to it except for the lowering. Interesting how close they came to each other in price - and both made their reserve. http://img338.imageshack.us/img338/6208/bothtrucks.jpg

What color silver, argent?

True-Value rattle can Premium Decor High Heat Aluminum - it goes on thick and gives a satin finish in-person.

Electric Fan(s)?

Looking a installing a electric fan - the space between the radiator and the 460 is tight about 3 1/2 inches and I can't get the clutch fan back on.

Should I look at 2 - 12 inch fans or one 16 inch? Does it matter or what should I be looking for.

Thanks - CK

I'm currently installing the EZ 21 Mini off ebay for $150 shipped. Way more wires than I will ever need but was cheaper than the EZ 12.
Have not had any issues with the kit - just my lack of understanding on some of the switches. Crossing my fingers it will actually run again!

I found my other switch and it does not have the extra connection (WIRE 1) - my guess it looks like a tab that connects to the pole for accessories.
I should be good to go on all the others - 4 connections and 4 wires on my EZ kit. Again thanks for the help. CK

I have the plug but it is dry rotted - so I cut it up and following you and my EZ wiring book came up with this. What is the extra connection for that I have labeled as WIRE 1?
