1966’Ford F100 RANGER
Offering up for sale, a 1966 Ford F100 RANGER. This is a project and admittedly needs a lot of work. Truck was in the same family since 1966, until I bought it about 10 years ago. One of three matching, consecutive numbered cab and chassis trucks purchased for a business use. Purchaser installed fla...

Re: 16 inch wheels
I’ll get a better pic tomorrow when I have someone to either hold the tape or the camera. PM me your email as I’ve forgotten how to post pics on here. I’ve been away for a while.

Re: 16 inch wheels
I have four (but can only lay eyes on three at the moment, but the other one is close by I’m sure.) Not particularly wide, 6 1/2”. Would need to be blasted. If those might work for you let me know.

Re: straight axle drop
I would recommend going with a drop axle. Sid's in Guthrie OK does good work and is reasonably priced. You can take or ship your axle and pick up one that's dropped to your specs. Next would be a set of mono-leaf springs but unless you can get a deal you'll probably pay as much for them as the drop ...

Re: Diet plan
I dislocated my right shoulder last year and was astonished at the things I wasn't able to do without the use of my right hand. Don't recall eating being that much of a problem, but getting dressed certainly was. Ever try to pull up a pair of jeans with only your left hand? Not easy. Had to thread m...

Re: Auto Darkening Welding Helmet Recommendations
I appreciate all of the welding helmet recommendations. I considered each one and the more I read and looked the more confused I got. So on Christmas Day I decided to pull the trigger and purchase the Antra 660. Almost the same unit as the 880, but the window is not quite as large. Since I'm probabl...

Gritsngumbo - this is the helmet I use for welding on a daily basis. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00CXWYN4M/ref=pd_aw_sim_sbs_469_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=7HAY94FDNBNCS80AY7QH 8-12 hours of TIG M-F, and before I did got my TIG gig I used it for 8hrs of stick welding per day. My eyes have n...

Re: Auto Darkening Welding Helmet Recommendations
As usual, I'm driving myself nuts comparing items before I actually pull the trigger and purchase. This time it's a welding helmet. I appreciate all of your earlier comments and recommendations. I just ran across this one, the Striker Supreme and it looks darned good for the price: http://www.usawel...

It's not usually the fall that hurts, it's the sudden stop.

Re: Auto Darkening Welding Helmet Recommendations
SPark: I looked at that one also. Sure had a lot of good reviews (591). Nic and SPark: With my old eyes (I'm almost 74) I need all the help I can get in not only seeing the pool but also where I'm going with it, so I'll probably go with a larger screen. I won't know for sure until I try it. SPark: I...

Auto Darkening Welding Helmet Recommendations
I'm looking for recommendations for a good auto-darkening welding helmet that will give me a better chance of actually "seeing" what I am attempting to weld. Under $100 if possible. Background: I purchased a MIG 175 welder from Eastwood's a few years back. It came with a "free" h...

Re: The Best $25
I first heard of them as a solution to remove undercoating and/or soundproofing. Seems I've used one, but don't remember if I bought it or borrowed it. I haven't seen it in my shop unpacking, so must've borrowed it.

Re: Unequal distribution.
I think the slick availability varies from state to state in addition to regions of the country. There are/were almost none in Louisiana while they seem plentiful in neighboring states. I've gotten two of my trucks in Arkansas, two in Mississipi, and one in Alabama. I did find my original slick here...
