I thought I read somewhere about counting the freeze plugs on the side of block, 240 had 3 and 300 had 5 I think.

65ford1, I have a early model 302 and kid if your have a six it's my understanding the aod will bolt right up to your six. james

aod in your 65

I put an aod in my 65 and it had a 3 speed in it.Used the Lokar tv cable and it works just greate. The Lokar tv cable came with good instructions on how to adjust.

Thanks for all the nice comments, just a little more info about the truck its got an old school 302 with a aod trans. I love driving this old truck, if I don't drive it at least once a day I get a little down. Its got a set of 3:25 gears and gets 18 mpg. later, james

I had good luck by taping it on from the back side. Clear packing tape was used.

Been searching for info on how to fix wipers that won't go to park when switch is turned off. There was a discussion here many moons ago about this but have not found it. Thanks for any help. James. :(

I had the same problem years ago with the drums not going back on and after two days of scraching my head I thougft about backing off on the hand brake adjuster and that was the problem.

I found a complete set of custom door trim that I want to install on my none custom cab door, but don't know were to drill holes for the clips. Same thing for the dash trim pieces.
