Re: A little Ranger help?
Thanks Paul. I hate to say that the important items are not with the truck. It is a G81 code with a black padded dash. It has holes across the back pinch weld where a gas tank cover could have been. It has very age appropriate Ranger badges. It has holes on original painted floor pans that could hav...

Re: A little Ranger help?
Is there a pic anywhere of what the seat reinforcement looks like? So G81 is still a sign that it could have had a Ranger package? Any other identifiers?

Re: A little Ranger help?
Trim code is G81. I've seen online where that could be a Ranger identification though. All very confusing on these trucks for me.

A little Ranger help?
I'm hoping some of you that know could help identify a truck. It looks the part of a 65 Ranger, but I honestly have not been able to find enough information out there to feel comfortable with my conclusions. Can anyone share with me how to identify the Ranger identification only? Not so much looking...

Re: Question on crew cab value
I was trying to see if the value of a nice stock or "restored" truck had a higher or equal value than a customized one. Sometimes I come across vehicles that are still together after all these years with their original parts and are so complete that I would prefer to find them a good home ...

Question on crew cab value
You guys always give an honest opinion, so I wanted to ask what you feel a Ford bodied crew cab is worth in your eyes. 1966 F250 with decent paint, clean interior, 6 cylinder, 2WD, little to no rust and drives excellent with all the electrical working as it should. In short, a driver that would real...

No. That is The Great Smoky Mountain f100 run. Nice show. Only about 100-120 trucks normally though. Nationals usually has 700-750. The GSM show is more enjoyable in my opinion.

Re: 66 project completion
Wow! This is one nice truck. Do you know what type of paint and the color that was used? Yes, all PPG products. The color is a Harley Davidson by the name of Aztec Orange. What size tires are those? If I remember correctly they are 225/50/17 front and 275/50/17 rear. Need to check if you plan to us...

Wow Great job. Hope mine turns out just close to that. You don't know were I can get a good hood do you ? I have a few but I'm a good mile or two away from you! Let me know if I can help though. Very nice! I'd like to know the origin/ manufacturer of the seat; looks like a good fit, and the details...

66 project completion
Thought you guys might enjoy seeing this 66 we just finished up for a friend/customer. Still need to get the break in miles on it, but it will only look fresh once as the customer intends to drive it and enjoy the update. http://i342.photobucket.com/albums/o416/autobahn45/Bell%2066%20F100/Ericared53...

Re: too low?
Run some helper bags or air shocks at the least and it would be fine for that kinda load/towing. Regardless as mentioned above the rear end housing will also become accessible to banging the floor with much of any notch.

Re: too low?
Keeping the same springs you should still have similar load capacity but you will have no room between the axle and frame even notched for a big load or heavy tongue weight of a trailer. Don't do it if you want to keep using it as a truck.

Re: too low?
i am in agreement. my question was really, would an axle flip along with djm lowering shackles and hangers be too low for a mini notch. Yes it would be too low for a small (2.5-3") notch. A flip with the stock hardware and a small notch is the best route IMO. If you're concerned with the reare...
