Re: Saving a Patina Finish 64 Ford F100 WHAT WORKED FOR YOU?
I used KBS diamond clear on mine. It is a gloss clear coat, but I had to put something on it living in the area that I do. The diamond clear was the only product that I could find that would guarantee to stick to anything, including bare metal and surface rust. There are plenty of pics in my album t...

Re: my shipwrecked '63
Hi April, Your truck is looking great! I know how you feel with all of this, I just fired mine up this weekend (61 unibody), and ran the cam break-in, no better feeling, than to have all your hard work and time pay off. when I was researching what oil to use for a flat tappet engine, I found out tha...

Re: Defroster hose size needed
I bought a hose kit from old air products off of Amazon. it is plastic, but works and fits perfect. (Plastic duct hose, 2-1/2" ID, 6' long #91-53P) I believe it was about $20.
Hope this helps.

Re: Best window fuzzies
I just installed the Dennis carpenter ones in my doors yesterday as a matter of fact, and I am not pleased with how they fit, or the majority of parts I have received from them. After cussing for hours with door assembly with there antirattle kit, I then picked up the new door seals from them and I ...

Re: 61-64 w/ (OG ford) brake booster mount direct to fire w
I did forget to mention that my engine doesn't set where it normally would. My truck is settting on an 85 crown vic chassis. I don't know if that's why I have so much clearance around the valve covers or not. The engine does set a lot further forward. I didn't have much choice, the truck had a nice ...

http://www.slick60s.com/gallery/image.php?mode=thumbnail&album_id=879&image_id=12698 This is what I used. It is a booster/MC from a 65-66 mustang, all I had to do was redrill two holes in mounting brackets to match firewall and pedal bracket holes. and I used a 3/8" thick piece of alumi...

Your doing a great job! by the time you get finished with your repairs, you will have the "skills" also. If you look in my album I think I have some photos of the same repairs, if that could help in any way.

Sorry to take so long to get back with you, been under the weather. If you can't find anyone else to help, let me know, I'm sure we could work something out. I go to Columbus quite often, my daughter is going to OSU med school. If nothing else I could help point you in the right direction. Wiring is...

Really looking forward to pictures of your door rebuild. I still have mine to do also, but since photo bucket pulled there stunt, finding photos of how it all goes back together has been pretty hard.

Re: '62 F100 Uni - yes another Crown Vic swap
I definitely agree with you, no right way or wrong way to do this swap, everything just depends on what you have to work with. By the way, what part of southern Indiana are you from? I'm about an hour east of Cincinnati. That's the great thing about these swaps, no two are alike. Keep the pictures c...

Re: '62 F100 Uni - yes another Crown Vic swap
Hey thanks a million for all the photos. I'm doing the same swap 61 uni on 85 crown vic. I just spent the weekend repairing my torque box area and back of cab/bed wall also. all the items that must have slid around in the bed over the years can really bow the metal forward a lot! I went a different ...
