Re: Change of Plans! For the Better?
Spark they make mini splits that have one outside unit and 2 inside units that work well for you in both areas . The rear room and hobby room combined are just over the area I would recommend for a 1 ton unit normally but they are well insulated so that makes some difference . The larger front area ...

Re: Change of Plans! For the Better?
Looking good Spark . Your a lot more optimistic than me as far as space goes :D. I see about as much space there as my uni " body " is currently taking up :D. Ok now for your drywall mud go get a oil filled radiant heater and stick it in the room and turn it on . Get the heat up in the roo...

Re: Unibody decode
The door tag on the uni is definitely wrong as there were no door tags on Uni's . Look on the inside of the glovebox door for another tag as that's where the tag would have been on a Uni.

Re: Body work question (newbie warning)
Rick with regards to going to bare metal or not . I will say this if it is the original paint on the truck a scuff and primer sealer is fine . Anywhere body work has been done you will want to strip to bare metal to make sure there are no issues below the body work that may come back to bite you lat...

Re: 3 on the tree opinions wanted
The major reason to keep the 3 on the tree if you are not planning any " long hauls " is it is better than just about any alarm system today . Most kids today cant even drive a standard floor shifted 5 speed and have never seen a 3 on a tree :D. I am 46 and I am probably from one of the la...

Re: Tire Size
I was planning on keeping a 4 in back spacing since all the extra room is on the outside. I like the whitewalls but the biggest tire I have found with them is a 235-75-15 and I would really like to go taller than a 29in tire. Well if ya don't mind spending a few bucks may I present 285/70-15 of whi...

Re: Tire Size
Summit Racings website gives tire diameters for most any size tire . The 2 examples you give from general Tire are 265/70-15 29.60 diameter and 235/75-15 is 29.00 diameter .

Shadow are you doing a stock restore or a custom ? I am planning to do the same thing Kstone63 did on his truck . He used some foam insulation from home depot or lowes between his inner fenders and his cab . Theres some decent pics in his build thread .

Heck if that goes for 2 grand I have some spare Uni doors I could build a bench out of that should be a 5 grand bench since the doors are rarer .
