Replacing gas tank filler hose
I want to change out the hose for the filler tube to the tank and the grommet for the gas cap. Is this as easy as undoing the hose clamps and sliding it out the hole? Just want to make sure its easy so i can go cruise this weekend. Dont think its leaking but I constantly change parts that can help m...

Re: Taking speedometer needle out
Hate to bring this up again but how does the needle stop at zero? Once im going the needle stays nice and steady but not sure if the mph is correct now. Its damn near straight down but if i start moving its moving but i know its off at 0-20 or so.

Taking speedometer needle out
How do you take the speedometer needle off the gauge? Im rebuilding my clusters and i think the needle spun off cause its not sitting at 0 mph anymore. Now it falls just straight South. It may be OK since i haven't driven it to see if it does work but in case it doesn't I rather do it before i put e...

Dash lights / Bulb covers
So Im redoing my dash and all but the indicator light cover? or whatever is in front of the buld in the little circles are gone. I had plastic bag taped over it and it worked well but what is everyone else using? Its for the indicators and 'lights on' indicator. the 3 holes in the speedometer gauge....

Re: Heater Windshield Defroster hose
Im good with the hose its the duct. the original carboard stuff. Either way last night i pieced it together using gorilla glue. You have to watch it as it sets up and keep pressing it down becasue it expands but it worked. It set up pretty hard so i think all is well. Im going to just reuse the hose...

Heater Windshield Defroster hose
So I was taking out my wiper motor last night and removed the defroster heater hoses from under the dash and the cardboard part that attaches to the bottom of the vent broke (the duct). Where can I get these? Its obviously original since the cardboard was pretty old but it slides into the hose and a...

gauge attachment in dash
So i want to cut some holes in my dash for the 2 1/4" autometer gauges at the 'circles' of the original dash but how do you secure the gauges from the back side. Cut just a bit too small and have them friction fit in?

Removing wiper motor
Seems my wiper motor went out this weekend. Stopped working and the motor started a buzzing sound. Anyway looking up in there it seems to be tight. Is there a trick to getting it out? Or is it just taking things off to get to it. My heater hose looks in the way and some other stuff.
