Ok, thanks John. I haven't moved the steering column or anything. The truck is all stock and other than being restored by me, it's a survivor and untouched. So I don't know if I'd even do the steering wheel swap, but it's nice to know that it can be done without swapping the column.

I just don't see how somebody takes on such a HUGE project as that and doesn't lose interest. He had me until he cut up the dash and stuck that new one in there. There was a guy that did basically the same exact thing with a 78/79 Bronco and a newer F150, grafted in the new dash and all that. Whatev...

Its called a turn signal cam, you can pick it up in the "help" section of your local parts house. Its relatively easy to replace... the hardest part is pulling the steering wheel.

There's really a much, MUCH simpler way if you can't remember all that wet or dry intake business.... Valve cover bolts. Know these numbers, remember these numbers... 2 bolts: 239/256/272/292/312 (produced from 1954 to 1964) 5 bolts: 332/352/360/361/390/391/406/410/427/428 (FE engine) 6 bolts: 221/2...
