Re: I'm back!
Here's a pic of the 4x4 project. My present investment in this project is under $700. The extreme rake is because it has 35" tall tires in back and 28's in front AND the front springs are temporary Mustang rear springs since the stockers went to my Bronco buddy and I am putting in some 2" ...

Gerald, if you would, and don't need them yourself, check on the wheels (if a dually), please. Thanks, Paul Paul: Sure will. No personal need at this time. Since you have a need, I'll make it a point to go look Monday or Tuesday, maybe before it's too late. If you go Grits take a good look at the f...

Hey everybody been a while since I have been on here. Been working on other car projects (Still Fords of course!) and having a computer issue. I am working on my 66 longbed again and will try to be on here a bit more. And of course Pate is coming up!

Re: skool me on Ford Fe triple deuce carbs and intakes
If it's a Thunderbird setup the carb mounts will be parallel to the manifold, the regular Galaxy style ones they mounts are angled and the back carb is higher than the front.

Re: 140 AMP Alternator Fuse Requirements
On the Thunderbird's with the factory 140 amp 3G alternator they used a 175 amp fuse. I have used that size fuse and a Buss Mega fuse holder on a couple of 5.0 Mustangs.

Re: The fever has hit and not sure that I can resist any lon
you ever try and launch a 500hp pickup? i guess if you are real good you could do it, all i've ever seen in person just go up in smoke at the line. the t56 isn't recommended for any towing. the lightning still has 850 lb bed rating and can tow 5000lbs. they are cool trucks though and i am not tryin...

Re: The fever has hit and not sure that I can resist any lon
all the triton v8 and v10 motors up to 04 spit the spark plug out of the head and took the threads with them, the 04-08s had the spark plugs break inside the head when trying to remove them. Try a google search and you will have weeks of reading ahead. If you buy a truck froma dealer tell them to c...

Re: Camper Special
Well after looking this truck over it had a lot more rust than I thought so it's going to get parted out and scrapped real soon. The core support was rusty as heck once I started taking it off and the cab floor was shot and everything lower down. It did have a nice battery tray that just needs blast...

GT40P's usually clear stock iron exhaust manifolds no problem. They even clear 64-67 HiPo manifolds. Easy for me to find down here have two sets already.
