Power brake booster

Been away for awhile and been looking for information on brake boosters and pedal assembly. I've been building my 64 F100 for many years now and have been sidetracked with another project. I bought a 57ish Willys Jeep 4x4 pickup and doing a rodstoration. I removed the frame mounted brakes/brackets e...

Get a battery charger with 1 amp of current to hook to the battery cables when testing circuits. Usually the chatger will trip before the fuse does. Also, stay away from crimping the lines. Get yourself several sizes of heat shrink, good solid solder wire, and a can of flux paste. You can coat the w...

Ditto. I drove down from B/CS to visit. Skip was a gracious host and the slicks on hand were a real treat to look at. It was great to put a few faces with some of the names and trucks we see here all of the time.

If he has a hoist and a battery, you can hang the motor and fire it up. It should run a few minutes with a little fuel in the carb bowl. Use a vacuum guage to read the engine for a couple of minutes.

All of the column wires have bullet plugs that can be unplugged. You just have to make sure and label each one because they could easily be hooked back up wrong.

They should bolt on but the lines will not match up.
Uni's have a slanted line connectiong the hood line to the bed line.
Standard doors have a small dip in the doorline under the vent window.

You have to have a plan. No finish line leaves you aimless. If you have a goal, you have direction. Make a decision now before it's too late. I spent 10 years in the window business workin hard to get the promotions, bonuses, recognition, etc. only to be held at a lower managment level and discarded...

Loosen the nut on the shaft but do not remove it. Place the puller jack screw in the center of the nut and install the two bolts into the holes on the steering wheel. As you tighten the puller, it may pull right off or get real tight and finally pop off. That is why you should leave the nut on the s...

Wiring isn't that hard. It is time consuming though. I used a universal harness from painless and spent more time running the wires than actuall hooking them up. A neat rick is to hook up a battery charger to the battery terminals to test circuits because at 1 amp, a short will trip the charger and ...

I replied to your PM.
You can "adjust" your tailpipes to clear the tank by routing them just under the fraim rails. You only need to be a couple of inches from the tank as your tailpipes don't get that hot.

Rather than a 10SI or 12SI type alternator, use the CS130 type. Ask For an 88 GMC CK pickup with the L05 engine. You can get 100 amp alternator for about 80 clams. You will have to change the pulley to a v-groove (10SI will fit) and open the mounting hole to fit your setup. It should also come with ...

If that is correct , then why did Ford offset the engines & transmissions in those same trucks ? I'm under the impression that you want to limit the number of different angles on the driveshaft- pinion angle matched to engine angle and driveshaft parallel to the crankshaft & pinion centerli...
