Re: 66 f100 with air ride and cummins
Yeah this past year I was at a different show up in Akron ohio. I might take it to pumpkin run but only if it's running. Getting real tired of getting on and off a trailer with a cable winch lol. But I still don't even have my truck back, the guy is really dragging his feet on the new turbo setup. I...

Well let me know what you decide. I would just pick it up and not bother with shipping.

Re: Correct original wheels for '65 F250
The spare would have been under the bed in the rear of the vehicle. As far as factory wheels, I would not go with split wheels. You can get factory once piece wheels, however they are harder to find if you want innie wheels vs the outie wheels.

Re: '61 Uni restoration
Well, I would personally get all of the rust taken care of now because it will only get worse. Hate to see you spend all of this money then have rust coming through in areas within a couple of years.

Re: Replacing bedsides...anyone ever done it?
Well after doing some experimenting and playing around with the old bedsides, its pretty clear why people don't do this lol. Apparently I will be cutting out my bedfloor and making it work. Sounds like a barrel of awesome. You live and you learn I suppose.

Re: Replacing bedsides...anyone ever done it?
The problem is really that I have 1x1 bracing going to the upper bedside and lower inner bedside for the bed floor and if I cut it, I am afraid it will then be too short and I am not sure that I can get it back in there right once the actual floor attached to it. If just mess with the lower bedside,...

Replacing bedsides...anyone ever done it?
Has anyone ever had to replace the bedsides on these trucks? I will be attempting to do it from the bodyline done where the upper and lower panel are crimped together. If anyone has any hidden tricks or advice, I would appreciate it. I know it will be a struggle and not fun lol. I would just use the...

Re: '66 F100 Custom Cab Short/Styleside Factory Correct Rest
Nothing fits better than NOS parts. Everything is looking really good. I have to either replace the bedsides on my bed or swap the bed floor to a new bed. Any volunteers lol?

I hate rust
Starting stripping my bedsides and found all sorts of fun that the previous owner covered up. I also started noticing lots of hole in the bedsides. After further investigation, flipping the bed over and testing an area, I would say that my bedsides are pretty much shot :( . I will let the pictures s...

Re: New Project? Non-rusty '65?
I would stay away, the wheels are awful. The overspray on everything in the engine bay tells me that they didn't take much time in the paint job, meaning that they probably didn't take much care with everything else. Paint bubbling and minor rust means some real good rust. That truck isn't worth hal...

weld in rollpan and taillgate removal
How do people with weld in rollpans remove their tailgate? The only way I can do it is to unbolt the one pivot and swing the pivot and tailgate downward without the rollpan on. How do people do this with the rollpan welded in? I have an idea of converting the pivot and tailgate to a more modern desi...

Re: Air bag install on the front
Your best bet is to put a new frame clip on up front. Camaro clip is realistically the easiest, best bet and works well with an air suspension. Mustang 2 geometry isn't the best for it and the beams are definitely garbage for an air ride setup.

Re: Getting harder to find
I was buying these every couple of weeks for awhile. Now I don't see many for sale near me in Cincinnati and when they are they are overpriced and or rusted out. I really wish they would start making patch panels for our beds grrr.

I am thinking 25-30k would be about right for one with that kind of restoration.
