Power steering pump brackets - FOUND THE PARTS
UPDATE: Located parts at salvage yard, already uncoupled from the engine. In my garage now for cleanup and installation. Looking to buy power steering pump bracket(s) for early to mid 1980's Ford E150 Van with the 300 inline six. These should have been supplied with a Saginaw pump from the factory. ...

Thanks, I'm not interested in political correctness, just want the right stuff in there to keep the pump doing what it's supposed to do.

Power steering fluid
When reworking the 65 4x4, 300 six, I used a power steering pump that I picked up with the brackets to mount to the inline six. It's never worked. I have a replacement from the local chain auto parts supply. I don't have an owners manual for a 78 F150, which the pump cross refences to, and online se...

That fellow is a phenomenal guitar player, actually a certified guitar player, as bestowed by the late Chet Atkins. I've been following some of his online guitar lessons. A true artist for sure, right hand thumb keeping a bass rythym going while other right hand fingers playing a lead melody. Switch...

Re: 4.9l split exhaust intermediate pipe
Here is a link to summit for a walker y pipe that ties both of your split manifolds into one pipe. This would be for a single exhaust, unless you split it from the end of the y pipe back out to two. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/wlk-45166 I'm not sure I have seen an intermediate pipe for dual e...

Re: The UNI-KORN
Tell us more about the carb and propane setup. Is that offenhauser intake a dual plane or single? Can the engine run on both gasoline and propane, in other words can you use a shut off valve and cutoff gasoline and turn on propane, then switch the other way? I like what you are putting together. Bra...

This might not be everyone's cup of tea. I stumbled on to him on a local radio station, then began listening to the podcasts during drive to and from work, after the radio station changed format. We never bought any kit or products, just listened, looked online at the steps, and concepts. My wife go...

Hello,
Edited post.
http://www.garysgaragemahal.com/speedom ... gears.html
This site may be more helpful, showing rear axle ratio, tire size, transmission, speedo gears needed.
I can't help with the number of bolts, both my np435's had a transfer case with them.

Re: 300 flywheel ring gear tooth count
I just went through this with a 1973 300 six block, small block bellhousing from a 65, np435 4 speed transmission from a 78 F150 4x4. The old flywheel had cracks in it. I replaced it with a new 164 tooth flywheel, new clutch and pressure plate. Used original stater, all works fine.

I'm not familiar with this custom cab dash insert. What are the two small lamps between the speedometer cluster and each of the two side gauges? Are they turn signal indicators?

Re: Large Opening Front Fender...
I hope you can find some in your part of the world. I've located a pair, but cant get it all worked out to get them from point a to point b. From what I have observed, it appears one could use the smaller fender, trim away the lower stamping and roll the edge under to create the same large opening f...

Chased down the gremlins with the brake and turn signals. It was a combination of wires in the wrong socket from the turn signal switch AND the pressure switch for the brakes was bad. Re: clutch equalizer bar
The truck I'm working on is a 4x4 with a mid 70's 4x4 frame. The truck had either 352 or 360 V8 and I swapped in a 300 straight six. I used the same z-bar that was with the V8 when installing the 300. The ball that screws into the block was already in the 300 and I've sold the V8 so I don't know if ...

Thanks Bill. I picked up a timing light from a CL ad close by for $25, made by Mac tools. Set the timing with vacuum source to carb disconnected and plugged. Adjusted fuel level in fuel bowls. Picked up fittings to tie the vacuum gauge in the dash into the manifold vacuum source. After connecting th...
