Re: Fuel pressure regulator question
It's not a stock carb either - Holley. I guess i'm not sure if they(Holley) can handle higher inlet pressure without problems?

Re: Fuel pressure regulator question
Mechanical fuel pump but not stock - i think rated at 8 or 9 psi out - that's the only reason I thought I might need a regulator (don't want to put to much pressure to the carburetor and cause problems there). It has markings for in and out and it was installed based on those marking and right at th...

Fuel pressure regulator question
Anyone have ideas on why adding a fuel pressure regulator will prevent the truck from running? After setting the rebuilt FE in the truck and initially getting it running without a regulator, i decided to add one. Then with the regulator installed it would only start if gas was squirted in the carb b...

Re: Lower B pillar repair panels 61-66
You will need to narrow that down on the year - unless you have a four wheel drive 61-64 is different than 65/66. I have a 65 two wheel drive cab that might have what you need. PM me your email and i'll send some pictures.

Re: 302 engine perches
Yes - I understand. Although I do notice some differences in the two pictures, I don't think I could tell which I had if I only had one set or the other. But for those that know for sure which year their perches came from, it sounds like the very late ones won't work in the early frames - at least n...

Re: 302 engine perches
Did you notice the part on that Fordification link about the mid-77 crossmember and perch redesign? If your perches are from those last couple years they won't fit the earlier twin I-beam crossmember. Perhaps they can still work with modifications - I'm not sure. But just want to make sure you saw t...

Re: 302 engine perches
Check out this page and see if it helps. I-6 and FE perches are the same but used different holes for placement. I haven't ever installed the small block perches but based on this, new holes are required on the early Twin I-beam trucks.

Re: '65 F250, what did I get in to?
Nice looking truck! Regarding the brakes, I recently had similar issues on my '67 - brake fluid level dropping but I couldn't find the leak. It turns out that it was leaking out the back of the MC into the cab. The firewall insulation was soaking up the fluid so I didn't notice it until it became sa...

Re: Rookie Question: 1963 223/240 To 1965 300 Interchange
I'm no expert on the I6 engines but the 240/300 are the same basic 'architecture'. The 223 is totally different.

Re: questian
For what it's worth, my '65 didn't have the top retainer strap that are referenced above (or the holes that they would be bolted to in the spring cup/pocket). But it did have a steel strap bent like a hook that bolted to the I-beam and 'hooked' the frame crossmember. This prevented the I-beam from h...

If you are trying to post a picture it works best to link them here from a picture host site. Most here use photobucket.

Re: Project SLIXTYFIVE
So - after the cab being re-painted and the doors being re-painted twice, but still having the same problem I've decided it's time to just put it back together so I can drive it. Hopefully the issues with the paint won't 'grow' or become a bigger issue down the road but I'm tired of waiting on re-pa...

Re: Spindle/Ibeam king pin hole alignment issue
I got to looking at the bearing and tried a different one from another king pin set that measured about 5-7 thousandths thinner and that gave it just enough wiggle room to get the king pin in. It was a little tighter than the other side but I will give it a try and see how it goes.

Re: Spindle/Ibeam king pin hole alignment issue
Could be. I personally took these spindles off the donor and had no problems getting the king pins out. I would expect that to have been rather challenging if it is bent. I'm also not so concerned with the cause as I am about how to address it. I'm thinking if I 'clearance' the mating surface (proba...

Re: Spindle/Ibeam king pin hole alignment issue
Yes, the truck in reference is a '65 but the beams are not the '65s.
And for reference, I had previously installed a different set of spindles on these beams(without this problem) but pulled them off back in May for a different 'more urgent' project......

Spindle/Ibeam king pin hole alignment issue
Just curious if anyone else has had problems with the angle of the king pin holes on the spindle compared to the I-beam? When I slide the bearing in between the beam and the spindle everything is snug without slop but the king pin won't go through both. It will go through and fits snug without the b...
