Re: What have you done to your slick today??

I put my tailgate and homemade roll pan on this morning... Still need to put the emblem on the gate, trying to decide on the black or silver one from DC. http://i906.photobucket.com/albums/ac268/loosrp/p1.jpg Also cleaned her up a bit.... Almost to the "done" stage!! At least thats what I ...

Re: Vacuum VS Mechanical Advance on a Distributor

You will get better fuel economy with a vacuum advance unit for sure. All out performance (racing, off road) engines you generally run a locked out dist. and a timing retard module to get it started.

Re: 64 short bed

Hood looks really nice, how many coats of the Rustoleum did you use? BTW I was looking at you rear brakes and noticed the shoes are on backwards, the short ones go in front (primary) and longer ones trail (secondary). Just an FYI

Using a double Jointed coupler will solve any alignment issues.
I purchased one thru Flaming River, call them, they'll hook you up.

Re: cheat method for installing window runs?

Yeah I tried following the tutorial and it didn't work well for me either
I figured out the hard way the felts go on before the glass run cannel is
seated. Not a very good tutorial IMO.

Re: Window channel kit question

To be honest, I just spent the big bucks on the Capenter's kit and wasn't impressed at all..... The division bars were very cheaply made, the only parts that I liked were the vent window rubber. Carpenter makes great rubber seals, the rest is the same as everyone else's, if you get my drift...

Re: EZ Wiring kit ( fuse panel)

Jeff, Same harness I used. I mounted the fuse block facing down using a L bracket under the dash just left of the steering column. I also used the existing factory large round rubber grommet to feed the wires thru the firewall, looks nice. I was able to pin out all the origonal switches easily for r...

Re: A chance to set LMC straight

Haven't bought to much from them but the defroster hose kit blows. The kit consits of corrigated black pvc hose that you buy for downspouts on the house, way to stiff, useless.

You can get one in there and it will kick the bottom of the door out and the top in, it won't take much.
