Re: Newbie Q: Speed Bleeders for a '64 F100
If I understand you correctly, your bleeders are stripped and you can not get them out. Buy new wheel cylinders. if you can get them out. take them to Advance/AZ/O'Reilys etc and they have the speed bleeders. Just have to find the ones that match. Re: C6 problem
Just went and tried this, no change. What ever is holding it from going back to neutral is very strong, I put a leverage bar on the shift arm and damn near bent the shift arm in two.longcabjohn wrote:I would try removing the vacuum hose to the valve on trans see if that changes anything.

Thanks everyone for responding, here is what I see that I feel is not quite right with this model, the curve at the back of the roof drops down to far, the mirror is wrong, the base of the wipers are away from the windshield to far, should be tucked up closer to base of trim, bottom of the front fen...

Re: Roofs
It does seem hard to believe how long it has been since anyone offered a built up model kit for a Slick... Tellico.. are you molding bodies/kits? Or is this a production kit coming out? There used to be a guy online that made some replica pieces from the old long gone kits... This is a production k...

Re: Lowering shackles for rear leaf springs
Jeff, I replace my shackles with some stock 2005 Ram 1500 units, they were longer than the Ford, had to narrow the bushing side, But!!! a two inch lowereing shackle will not lower the axle two inch's...you'll be lucky to get 3/4" at the axle. The best way to get what you want is to remove the r...

Re: gear ratio for easier highway speed
Was just wondering if anyone had a good example configuration in their truck that produced reasonably low RPM at those speeds. Well, mines not a good one, thats for sure. I have a 3.50 and at 55 I'm "screaming" along at 2500 rpm. So something in the 2.89/3.00 range might be a good start.....
