Re: 1964 Mercury Econoline E-100 or EM-100
Good question. I'm still working on rebuilding my image links from that thread, but here's the front 2 pages of the 1964 shop manual: https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4210/35700786026_eb79773336_o.jpg https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4208/35700785956_bc1991a990_o.jpg I'm not seeing specific mention of t...

Nice!
Small victory today, I finally managed to rebuild the photo links throughout this thread. So hopefully the whole story makes more sense now.

Re: my shipwrecked '63
Same here. My brother hauled my truck to the new place, and complained afterwards about people following so close that he couldn't see them in the mirrors. Good thing everything stayed attached!shipwrecked wrote:Idiots in cars all around you cutting me off like I could stop on a dime!

Re: Truck dis-assembly
Agreed, this topic would be a good candidate for a sticky. I've never actually seen this post before today. Skip:WELL DONE!! But, here are several things to consider, from a bodymans perspective:) Always spend some time prior to beginning dis-assembly & "GAP" you truck. What I mean is,...

Re: Crazy question
I can't think of any major components that would be useful, but if it has the slide-out cupholders under the climate control I have seen those installed on other cars. Those might come in handy if you wanted cupholders that hide away when you're not using them. Electrical relays, fuses and such are ...

Re: Too quiet around here......
My garage still looks like a war zone. Just coming up on the end of a long moving process too, which presented the opportunity (or necessity) to do a tiny bit of work to get the truck trailer-ready, so I rebooted my build thread. The PB issue definitely mucks up the build threads but I should be ab...

Re: 1962 Mercury Longbed Uni
Thanks! I'll be sure to post some more once things settle down. I didn't get a chance to organize all my tools and spare parts beforehand so the movers just kind of dumped everything in the garage. I have tools stashed in plastic totes, shelves with nothing on them and garden tools scattered about s...

Re: 1962 Mercury Longbed Uni
Update! This summer has been a crazy non-stop push to get our house ready for sale and listed so that we can move to our new one. So far so good, and the end is in sight. We've been picking away at getting stuff moved, including the truck and a bunch of spare parts and pieces. The poor fellow has sa...

Re: Floor plan replacement
The guy who did all the work on my uni's floor was able to do so with the body on frame and without removing the fenders. The repair included floor pans, cab mounts, steps, risers, lower door pillars, and kick panel patches, among other things. Maybe not the easiest method but it is possible. Check ...

Re: Photo Bucket Issues - Long Rant!
The main advantage of Photobucket is the easy "click to copy" on IMG links. Beyond that I find the interface to be very clunky and completely overrun with ads, not to mention the frequent issues where an image only displays at a thumbnail size. I still have a bunch of forum-related stuff o...

Re: Canadian-built color codes
So there would be no difference in the color codes between the standard tutone (blue/white) and the 'deluxe' tutone (blue/white/blue)? I think the question to be asked (and I don't have a definitive answer) is whether or not the contrasting colour on the roof only was actually a factory option. I d...

The pictured truck would have the "2" prefix, with the first letter denoting the blue and the second referring to the white.

The 3 prefix is news to me. Pretty sure mine is 2RW as well. Identical to Nic's except mine is a Custom Cab with 2 tone interior.

Mine is the same. Canadian-built on page 1 and the first part of page 2, then it switches to data on the US-built trucks.

Re: NEEDED: 1962-63 Canadian paint codes
Keith: Are the paint codes not listed in the info posted months ago by Jason (ThebigM) ?? James No mention of Canadian paint codes OR trim codes in the shop manuals, unfortunately. Mercurypickup.com still has some paint codes listed but they're also for US trucks. They're out there somewhere, but I...
