Say it isn't so, Lightning Mcqueen going on auction block.
As I was looking a what was on Proxbid, there he was in all his cartoon glory up for auction. He is in Surry and on the auction block. Guess he now knows how Doc felt.

Now that is one bowtie I would not mind owning. Of all the brand X vehicles, 55 is one of my favorites.

Re: Frame Braces
Did you get the braces you needed? If not, I have a frame I will be dismantling in the next month, as soon as I get the cab and box off the frame.

Re: OK..OK....I'm posting something
I have the radiator from the firetruck I disassembled if you can't find one elsewhere. That being said, the one I have was holding antifreeze when I removed it from the truck, but showed some signs of leakage

Re: Glueing truck together
This is a development of the system that cars are not repaired but pieces are replaced because the cars cannot be repaired. It is nearly impossible to straighten the metal they use in modern cars. Most of us have never seen body work where lead has been used as was done many years ago, and a very fe...

Re: Glueing truck together
You know, it probably is not a bad idea, but to glue a truck together just doesn't feel right to me. We've all seen cars with Bondo rust hole patches, and the Bondo coming loose as the rust easts at the metal. Just seems like a patch job, and how would you feel if someone sold you one of these truck...

Cab sag
I had not remembered this problem, and I should have, I know it well. The same problem causes all kinds of other issues and for the same reason. Cab will not stay in the right orientation and moves around, not only will this cause problems with the steering column but clutch linkage as well, and lin...

Re: 63 Column Rebuild
There are two bearings on most columns one top and one at the bottom which have a C3DZ (Falcon) part number. In addition there is a wedge shaped bearing race under the spring below your steering wheel. This was steel originally, but was replaced by a plastic piece in later years. Don't ask me why it...

Re: Rear gas tank filler door on side of syleside bed
I like the filler in the fender well, but I do have some issues with the idea. I bought the filler hose for the 84 Bronco 2 which includes and inner and outer hose that allows the tank to breath when filling with gas. Doing any mods to the piece I have might be problematical, at a guess. I have no d...

Re: Rear gas tank filler door on side of syleside bed
One other thing I was thinking it might be easier to use a filler cup from a Jeep and not run a gas door flap. What say all of you?

Rear gas tank filler door on side of syleside bed
I recently saw a video of someone installing a gas door filler in the side of their bed. Like a dummy, I did not mark it so I could find it again and have not been able to locate the video. What I really wanted to know was exactly how the inside of the bed was worked to accept the filler hose and me...

Re: Front fenders
I have my doubts about whether those fenders would help for what you want. You may have to go to a fiberglass fender, which I believe are made in California, which are made wider and give more clearance on 4x4 trucks. I have a set on my 66 f100 4x4. Frankly, I personally don't like the fenders, and ...

Re: Broken Window Channels
The picture you show has the nut missing for installation. Most likely broke when someone tried removing the screw that holds the part in place. As to the window channel, that would need replacing with new for about 35$ each plus shipping costs. I suggest Dennis Carpenter and just buy the whole door...

Re: Blown front rotor
I think most of our parts are coming from overseas. I've bought new parts such as u-joints that when checked the caps were loose on the joint, before I installed the u-joint ( took it back, and checked several more that were also defective ). Machine quality can be very poor and since it's coming to...

Re: 65 Inner Fender Questions.
Although what Toys said is true to a certain degree, the whole story is somewhat more complicated. Along with modifications of the core support from 64 to 65, there were other changes and again more changes from 65 to 66. Luckily for you, there is a replacement being made by obsolete Parts in Oklaho...

Re: Raising my frontend
I have a half ton that has some I-beams that raise the front end about 2-3 inches. I forget the brand name but these came out of California and look to be in good condition. You would most likely need a dropped steering box arm, which may or may not be on the truck I have. If so, I would sell all to...

Re: Radio speaker
Radio Shack did carry some years ago that fit, and I have one of the boxes somewhere, but not sure where. If I can find it, I will post the number, but don't know how much good it will do, as I think those people are out of business. Also, they were closing out those speakers when I bought a pair, a...
