Re: Looking for someone with a 65 or 66 with original C-6 tr
the column shift arm from a 65/66 cruisomatic column is longer in length than a 67-79 column. the c6 shift lever for a pickup is what you need for your install. the issue using a 65/66 column even if you shorten the column to accomodate the saginaw p/s gearbox is the geometry mismatch you have by us...

Re: Looking for someone with a 65 or 66 with original C-6 tr
i installed a c6 in a 1966 f100 and used the factory column but i used a bendix gear box so i didn't have to shorten the column.i did have to modify the shift rod in order to get the linkage to clock right w/ the column indicator. i think i still have a factory cruisomatic column.

Re: ANOTHER One of those E-bayer crooks

Re: 1964 ranger ?
the truck was rough. the bucket seat brackets from a glance looked the same as 65-66 vintage. the only thing that interested me was the console. those are expensive but i already have a few. i couldn't believe the truck brought that much. it was not advertised well but a neighbor knew of the truck's...

68428pi 016.jpg 68428pi 014.jpg according to 1966 ford pickup trucks dealership brochure: "padded dash, windshield washers, etc etc etc is now standard equipment for greater safety. i do not have a brochure to a 1965 ford pickup. if someone does that would spell out if that padded dash to be a...

Re: Pls Post: ANY & ALL Slicks with FoMoCo Padded Dash
i looked thru my box of titles for the door tag and title to the 65 f250 that i bought some years ago in Caney ks and am unable to locate the door or the door tag or title to that truck. this truck was definitely a 1965 that broke down in western ks on the road from california and ended up in a salv...

Re: Pls Post: ANY & ALL Slicks with FoMoCo Padded Dash
every 66 I have bought, stolen, or o/w procured has had a padded dash. I bought a 65 from a salvage yard o/s of great bend ks that had a padded dash. that is the only 65 that I have bought that had a padded dash. I still have the truck and have since stripped the badly cracked padded dash off and pa...

long wrong bed
last nite I bought a disassembled slick shortbed and spied a long wrong bed made into a trailer. the bed looked good from a glance and I inquired if it was for sale as well. I made the deal on the slick and had not got home and he called me and let me know that it too was for sale.. supposedly from ...

Re: Whats the going rate for a short bed (only) in CA
I paid $2500 cash for a 65 shortbed body on a frame with no title 2 years ago this spring. no motor no transmission no tailgate no radiator no seat . bed was decent with some bedside damage on one side. the cab needed some floor repair. I needed a good bed for a shortbed project I was working on and...

Re: Whats the going rate for a short bed (only) in CA
I have no idea what a bed costs in California but here in a Kansas I sold a fair to decent bed for $1500 a couple of months ago. I am not talking about a cherry, scuff and paint bed with no body work. this bed will need some straightening on the bedsides and floor. the tailgate had some rust holes. ...

Re: Ignition issues. 3v from coil under throttle
Lots of possibilities here. My first thought would be to check the wiring for the control box. There are two different Duraspark types with different input voltage requirements and no module/ box interchangeability. I am not certain which the TP40 box is used with. Duraspark II uses a resistor, so ...

Re: Using The Large C4TA-7505-G Bellhousing Behind A FE?
I've never had a 1ton slick but 2 tons used this setup. commonly seen on irrigation sets in western Kansas and Nebraska. I have one or 2 of those bellhousing and at least 1 of the Detroit/428 balance flywheels but have never found a use for them. I have an irrigation frame stand and have thought abo...

Re: 1965 wiring issues
Like uni says sounds like bad wire, or connector, on my truck I had the black/green on the passenger side, not sure if it makes a difference. When you grounded the gauge did you ground one terminal while the black/green was connected on the other ? I will try it again. I don't understand how the ga...

Re: 1965 wiring issues
the 2 wires together at the gauge provide no current at the sending unit. with wires attached to be back of the gauge I show the intermittent current at both poles. the white / red wire shows no current when the wires are disconnected from the back of the gauge. the black/green wire has a signal . t...

Re: 1965 wiring issues
I have seen the pictures of the splitter for the IVR connection that ICE posted. I am showing that pulsating signal on one side of the gauge. no signal at the sending unit. the auxiliary gauge wiring harness I used was intact with no obvious flaws and all wires are accounted for. I am starting to wo...
