62bigwindow: The OP (Harrison) said he's looking for a set of drop beam s , which would be for a twin I beam truck ('65-79) Sid's has talked about doing drops for Twin I Beams, but if they finally did build the fixtures, they haven't added them to their webpage.......... https://www.droppedaxles.com...

Harrison: I don't know how close you are to Marrieta, GA, but there's an old school shop there that may be able to get you "down" without buying beams. See the fourth post in this thread https://www.slick60s.com/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=24343 https://www.facebook.com/GSAUTOANDMUFFLERMARIET...

Nic: I booked off time to go back in 2008, talked to a bunch of local lads, couldn't find anyone who ACTUALLY wanted to go.....so I decided to just stay home and work in the garage (built my Tig cart and some other smaller projects:) It wasn't until Speedweek was all over that I discovered that 2008...

Bonneville Speed Week 2021
Just going through all the pics from Speedweek posted to http://www.bangshift.com, and came across this pic of a Slick Pushtruck, I'll post any others I stumble across:) I like it! The 1964 Models would have been released in the fall of 1963, if you look at a 1964 Shop manual, it will have a breakdown of the Consecutive Unit Numbers, the list starts with August/63.............

Seems like high temps in a LOT of places ATM, including here in EDMONTON, have a look @ the Weather Canada Forecast for the next week, we are, in all likelihood, going to surpass the all time temp for Edmonton (37 deg C, or 98.6 deg F) some time this coming week. The forecast for Wed is 41 deg C (10...

Re: What Slick60s Engine Transplants Have You Seen?
Haven't personally seen a 6.8 V-10 in a Slick, but I'd expect by now, someone has done it. I do know a local fellow who's in the middle of doing the 6.8L swap on a Bumpside ('71 XLT), and being as his last swap was the Lincoln 4.6L DOHC 32V into a '57 Ford SW, I expect the Bump will be nicely done:)

Two good old southern boys walked into a restaurant. While having abite to eat, they talked about their moonshine operation, trucks, etc. Suddenly, a woman at a nearby table who is eating a sandwich began to cough. After a minute or so, it became apparent that she was in real distress. One of the re...

MONGROT: Looking through my 1964 Ford/Mercury 100-350 shop manual, there is a separate section for each engine (144,223,262, & 292) BUT, after all the subsections for each of the engines, there is a Section with Specifications , towards the end of that section, there is a Table with Torque Limit...

The cold spell has been broken!! Today is the first day since Jan 12/2021 that the temp here has been above freezing......currently, it's 4 deg C, or 39 deg F.
