Re: Jerry can storage

One friend of mine made a portable boom box out of an Ammo can and ran his power to it off a cigarette lighter! Used an am/fm car radio and a couple of flush mount speakers mounted in it. He drove on the flight line a lot and his truck radio didn’t work. Looks like this Jerry can would hold a lot o...

Re: Phone call

My daughter bought a new 03 Malibu and I was a co-signer on it for her.
After several years she sold it but I continued getting letters wanting me
to bring it back in to buy it back. Crazy huh!

Re: When did that clock start ?

I always cringe when I see the countdown clock appear.
Guess I don’t like knowing something is timing me! Got to get
busy and get that work done on my truck! Engine refresh,
new gas tank install, Trans seals, hood swap, and some painting.
Lots to do! TR

Re: The move casualty

From a movers standpoint which I used to do a lifetime ago, I hated packing up people’s belongings. But if you let them do it the whole thing would be a disaster. I do realize certain things require special care. That’s when the owner needs to pack them up special and pad everything real good in a ...

Re: Overhaulin

As many have said, TV shows, especially Fooses bunch, do some amazing things, especially with rust repair and replacement. I don't always agree with their choices on stuff, but that's just because I really don't like graphics and stripes on nice paint jobs. Especially if the original vehicle never h...

Re: SS 8 T-shirts

It is still a long way off but will be here before we know it! The polo style shirt sounds nice but is a bit higher in price. I like the idea of a medium blue pocket T with a logo above the pocket and a design on the back! All depends on the ink in the screen print as far as colors go. I have a desi...

Re: Has Anyone Heard From Lyman (JeepButt)?

Mike Browne in Friendswood got water up in his house pretty badly. He had been recovering from some surgery only a few weeks ago. Been praying for all our Texas friends and as far as I know Mike is the only one who got flooded. He and his wife have had a lot of help from neighbors and friends so far...

Re: Parts Hauling

Rich you make a good point. But I have to start this out easy and work it up a bit at a time.
Tom hauls whole trucks and goes east to west and back. Does it full time too! I just figure
if somebody needs something picked up or delivered along the way I am going it can help pay for my trip.

Right now a cabover would be a "challenge" to say the least! But a front fender would be easy enough? Need more than that to come that far though! I know people along the way as well! Getting new exhaust put on it this week! Let me know if you have anything else you need going that way. Do...

here without third party bs! TR.

Parts Hauling

I see people wanting truck parts all the time but the biggest hurdle is the shipping! The freight rates for some objects like bumpers, beds, axles, sheet metal parts and whatever else is very costly. But, what if it wasn't? Since I retired I have wanted to make a few road trips here and there and fi...

Re: Haulin' a load

I had been thinking about a delivery business for Slick parts a while back. Got a flatbed truck to put together with a 300 and automatic in it that I wanted to use! Just wonder if there would be enough demand for an old boy to make some money doing that around here. I see people wanting to buy and s...

I was thinking the truck parking was south because in the late afternoon we had a lot of shade where our chairs and tents were set up! But that's been five years ago and I've slept since then. TR.

If I recall correctly, in 2012, we were in rooms on the south
side of the hotel looking out to the parking lot where the
trucks were parked. Might want to request that side when
you make your room reservations. TR

Re: SS 8 T-shirts

I like the idea of a pocket on the front for things like sunglasses and such! Also a color close to Ford Blue would be cool? I know the gray shirts have been popular for a good while in various shades in place of white ones which as we all know are difficult to keep clean for some of us, myself incl...
