Re: CROWN VIC SWAP INNER FENDER TRIM

Are you asking how to trim the bottom of the 61-63 inner splash pans to fit nicely on an early crown vic (80's era ) ?

The original splash pans line up so good with the early vic chassis I couldn't believe it when I did mine. I have never done the newer chassis everyone is using now.

Re: Went to a car show today

The one interesting type of brand motor swap I have always wanted to see was that Toronado? V8 front wheel drive setup.. mounted in the box. Making the truck rear wheel drive. When I was a kid somebody in Des Moines had one of those in a pickup.. I guess it would pull wheelies... used to hear people...

There is always an ebb and flow to be sure. It will be interesting to see what replaces photobucket..If anything.... I personally think it was a miracle PB lasted that long, I don't know of anyone that ever bought anything thru them. As for the facebook site it isn't now or ever really connected to ...

My guess is they are going bankrupt from hosting pics, and this threat/offer was a hail Mary pass that nobody believed would work. I think they will be gone/sold soon.

Re: Transport for 61 from Arizona to Long Beach

This reminds me of the time we drove a non runner up on the trailer... maybe it was just an early Tesla? HAHAHHA Mr. Shortbox jambed it in gear...... hit the starter and drove it up on the battery and starter motor power.. the motor and starter were pretty much gone BEFORE we did this, and were goin...

Re: Long to short box

The body line would really make it a tough job.... Do you know what I would do if I was you? and I think it would be much easier and look good. Cut the back off the cab, extend it back 18 inches or so into the box, make the truck a super cab (still 2 door) either use it for storage back there or pus...

Re: '62 Unibody Still Plugging Along

Every time I look at that Maverick I think of how many of those old cars were bumping along the road here, all beat up and rusty. So many of those old cars were just maintenance nightmares.. but wow was there a lot broader spread of designs and shapes than today. Remember all the big ole square land...

I am pretty sure at least 2 years, the same cab style was used on big trucks, 3 or 4 is very likely...

I know this was discussed in the past, but I don't recall what the final answer was anymore.

Re: 3 on the tree won't shift.

Does your cab set lower than it used to? Because shifting was always the problem when the cab sags.. Possibly its just low enough you can't adjust the linkages enough? I am also trying to recall if there were some buchings you could have pushed out of place in there.. Its been a LONG time since I ha...

I am not sure I can recall seeing a 223 that didn't have some wiggly wobbly old fuel line. hahaha

Those tube bending tools really do make things nice if you are good at bending stuff RIGHT the first time. Maybe some one will post a nice under the hood picture.

Re: New brake lines to dual MC

When ever I ran new lines, I just bent them and ran them right along the old set.. and then removed the old ones after the new is built. The main thing on a stock replacement is to try to keep the lines where debris can't bounce up and hit it badly. As for having two lines off a manual master, and r...

I can't even imagine the job ahead of you ! I had an entire truck body apart that long and had trouble finding things.. But that much motor stuff spread around would be a job !
