Re: Working a side job

Sounds like a good deal both ways, I used to charge $25 - 35 an hour mates rates, sometimes didn't take any money Had a tree Lopper friend come over and cut down 2 palms a couple of weeks ago, he was here 1 hour flat out and I removed all rubbish. He charged me $160.00.... some mates rates, I find ...

Re: What would you do?

As you said you took an oath. With 20 years in service you should have money put away to get you through a dry spell. Civilian life and work is a whole different story. Most do not sign contracts and no one can require you to come to work without pay, so if you are promised a paycheck after the dry ...

Re: Went to a car show today

Yep when ever I see a small block Chevy engine in anything but a Chevy I walk right on by. Doesn't matter if it is the nicest car or truck in the show hands down. I don't give it a second look and I do not vote for it. When I go to a show I have to convince people that my engine is not a small block...

It is a Avenger 670 cfm truck carb mainly for off road use. New it would be about 525 to 550 dollars.

Re: Picture paractice

OK I give up. Yesterday I was able to attach pictures from my gallery and now they are gone. Today I am trying to do the same thing as I did yesterday and it does not work. I can't get a new pic for my avatar because it says it is to big. Why don't the owners of this site set it up like the other fo...

Re: Factory spotlight?

They weren't installed at the factory. They were ordered and the spotlight and things like radios were dealer installed options. My 64 was ordered new in 11 of 63 and my father in law who ordered the truck and was at the dealer when it was unloaded off the transport told me that the spotlight and th...

Re: ICON builds a '65 Crewcab

Yep went through all that work to have a way to wide tack. If they would have narrowed the axles about 2 inches on ech side it would have been perfect. Other than the Icon badge on the trim it is a darn good looking truck.
