Re: "Kustom Headliner Kit's"
I have always respected Michelle's input in regard to our hobby, but I am surprised to see her loud purple shout. A well-armed sheep is still - let's be real - a timid creature unable and unwilling to pull the trigger. What is the real meaning of the rant? Eric What does this have to do with headli...

Not sure but I have a set of the overload brackets that clamp on the frame. Never seen them before either.

Welcome from another Midwest resident. Your truck looks very solid for living it's life in the rust belt! My '61 was very much like the Mustang you described.

Re: ANOTHER One of those E-bayer crooks
I'd say it didn't have a title and they used a f 250 title. Or its a 3/4 ton converted to 1/2 ton. As far as condition issues I didn't see any but I did not look that closely.

I picked up one of those filter adapters a while back. Got it off a 54 school bus.

Re: Rethinking the 460 I have in my 66
Have you thought about a 300 6? I've had 302's and I'd prefer the torque and fuel mileage of a 300 over a 302.

Do you have a Unibody sample yet? I just picked up a cab section for rust repair that has a complete and intact headliner. It's yours if you need it for a pattern.

Re: Rethinking the 460 I have in my 66
460 is a 385 series engine. I can understand wanting better fuel mileage. Other than a engine swap would a taller gear help? What's your driving style? If you drive aggressively then a motor swap wouldn't help much. What kind of mileage are you getting out of the 460 anyway?

Yes. With the engine at normal operating temp. You may have to set it mildly warmed up and then check again if the overheating stops. Since it gets so warm idling.

A lean condition will make a engine run warm. I throw my vote in for fuel pump also.

Re: New member
Welcome. The torque box is not too bad to repair. I replace the whole thing in my truck. Had a local machine shop brake a one piece out of 16 gauge steel. Went a little heavy on the gauge but didn't figure it would hurt.

Re: Roof seam.....
What is the purpose of it? As far as welding I don't think silicone would be necessary. Sandblasting followed with a good cleaning with the wire wheel should suffice. As long as its prepped properly and sealed after welding it should last the life of the truck.

Slick Stock express
Anyone near me or coming through Northeast Missouri going to Slickstock? Would like some parts delivered there if possible. Nothing large that would take up too much space.
