I finally made my reservations last night. We got a room on the east side and the ground floor.
I plan to drive my truck this year instead of having it in a trailer. I think that I have almost all of the little bugs fixed that I had never done.

Re: who is going from the west
My plan at this time is is to get there on Wednesday. I don't have any idea of my route yet.
I had better make my reservations before it is booked up.

39 out of 40. For a tile setter, that's acceptable.

Rich,
I just saw this post. If you need me to look at this, I can try and do that. What part of town is it in? I have been really busy but I can try and do that.

Re: Original AC from scratch?
If you don't want to use R134A, check into Freeze 12. It is equally as good as R12 and way better than R134A. I charged my Model "A" with 134A and it just worked mediocre at best. I switched it over to the Freeze 12 and it cools the car now perfectly, even in our Phoenix summers. It is sli...

Re: my shipwrecked '63
I used my vice for things like that before I got a press. I would put a lot of pressure on the vise and then smack the jaws really hard with a sledge hammer. That would help push the parts in to where I could tighten the vise a little more and then hit it again with the sledge hammer.

The shims that you found would be to adjust the caster.

I helped Richard Beck install one of his,we laid it over the top of the cab then missed it with with water until it shaped itself Why couldn't you you this method with a sheet of 1/8" ABS plastic using a heat gun to shape the plastic. I haven't tried this but but it seems like it should work c...

Brian, I think what orangercode meant was that the forum was dead for a while last night. I tried to get on a couple of times and kept getting an error code.

I see that maybe there is a triangulated 4 link added?
And I am sure that you put those twisted spline axles back in.
I see blue dots in the taillights.

Re: 64 F-100 SWB Retro-Patina Build
We didn't change anything on the springs on his truck. We only did the front hanger flip. If you plan on moving the spring perches, I would recommend that. 12 degrees of shims was a lot to put under the perches. I think that it is plenty stable that way but moving the perches would be the best way. ...

Re: 64 F-100 SWB Retro-Patina Build
We did the front hanger flip on a friend's 72 F100 and got a full 5" of drop in his truck. We had to put
12 degrees of shims under the pads to bring the pinion back to where it was.
The frame is looking good.

Re: Nicks 63 Uni
Here is a couple of pics of the tailgate skin. It came from Bob Grant Kustoms. I found him on facebook and I thought that the price was right. $160 + shipping. This is a great looking piece. I was looking for a company locally to make these but wasn't having any luck. http://i170.photobucket.com/alb...

Re: Nicks 63 Uni
We had a package show up yesterday for Nick's truck. A new smooth tailgate skin for the unibody. Now I just have to get enough time to get the truck back in the garage so I can get back to work on it.
I will try and get some pics soon.

Re: '62 Unibody Still Plugging Along
I am not sure why Ford didn't make that fender go under the firewall. I was wondering if the clutch linkage was in the way. There wasn't anything in the way on mine so I added the piece to it. I thought that it would look better matching.
Sorry to make more work for you.

Re: '62 Unibody Still Plugging Along
Steve, I am probably going to create more work for you. The left inner fender doesn't have a tail on it that goes under the firewall like the passenger side does. I made a piece and welded it onto mine so that it would match the passenger side. It looks proper on that side now to match. I can't find...

Re: What's a dwell meter ?
I might be getting my facts a little confused. My understanding is that the duration at 0.50 lift is the amount of time that the intake and exhaust valve are open at the same time as the exhaust is closing and the intake is opening. Like I said, it has been a long time since I had any dealings with ...

Re: What's a dwell meter ?
Dwell is just because that is what my Dad told me it was. I never really thought about what it actually meant. Here is the next one to ponder. What does the cam shaft specs mean when it says, advertised duration at 0.050 lift? I used to know this but I have to think about it anymore. Years ago, I he...
