Re: my 66 f100
I figured as much. I am getting ready to do the same thing. I kinda wish I had bought a FMX with a detachable bell housing. I think I could have made with that set up, but the C6 presented it self and I couldn't pass it up.

Chris, the tranny looks to be a New Process four speed that same as my truck. I could be wrong but that is what it looks like to me.

Re: my 66 f100
Did you have any trouble getting the C6 bell housing past the front cross member that is riveted in?

I had started to think that you had dropped off the face of the earth since it had been so long since we had heard from you. I did suspect that it may have been job related though. We wish you the best of luck with your CWO exam.

Re: Parking light lenses.
To be exact, the year that the amber park lights were federally mandated was 1963. 1962 and before they were clear. There were a lot of people that bought after market lenses for their 62 and older trucks.

Re: Title question
The serial number is stamped on the frame, Texas is a little picky about that too. I tried to buy our old LTL 9000 from a salvage yard and ask them to cut the frame off behind the sleeper and give me everything from there forward. I was told can't do it. Then could sell me everything from there back...

Re: Steering Column Question
I think I figured it out. It goes on the back side of the turn signal switch. I kept viewing small hole in the bottom as a screw hole, but it turns out it goes over the back side of the signal switch. The piece was broken off from the back side. On the search now for a steering column flange. http:/...

Steering Column Question
I am in the process of gathering parts to change the transmission out from a New Process four speed to a C6 automatic in my 65. I have a steering column for an automatic. I was taking it apart today to clean it and paint it and there was a loose part floating around inside. It was not attached to an...
