Sorry to hijack a thread, but if someone knows of a supplier that sells repop or original ranger badges let me know.

I just built my shop and the concrete is dry. If you had found this guy before the cement had been poured I might have had a place for him to stay :D

Got my kit on the front porch when I got home today. Popped it open and looked at a few pieces. Looks good and I can't wait to get started this summer. Thanks for taking the time and effort to put the kit together.

You know those pictures make me realize how big of a problem I'll be leaving my wife when she finally gets a locksmith to get her into my gun safes.

I did a similar lift with the engine lift. I never could get the balance just right without adding some weights in the right spot. Used my floor lift and whatever else was around and balanced it perfectly.

I put in an HEI unit and I think its 3 wires(one is for a tach). Then I went with a 1 wire alternator. Have a choke cable on the carb so no wires there. I have another wire for the digital water temp guage. Moved the the battery and selinoid to the frame behind the cab. You can weld a pipe under the...

Probably cheap enough to get from a yard, but they are also selling repops now (no dents). They are listed on Ebay for $50 each.

no thanks, reminds me of the dodge truck hood/grill combo. And who wants to imitate a dodge. As someone sticker at slick stock said, "Dodge, even the name says to avoid it" :P

I've done a couple of the SW 76 type. Had to build a small bracket from scrap metal laying around. Works pretty good and eliminates the need for wires hanging out your firewall. I've got a new truck that I don't plan to go all out on so I'll keep this part in mind.

I don't imagine something that old is copyrighted. Scan the ranger info pages and post online.

I put my truck on a 79. You loose a couple inches of clearance since the 79 rear axel is wider. I don't know what the offset is but I have 1991 or 92 ford e150 wheels on it to help clear. I'm still only a 1/2 inch from hitting on the outside. I may look at a better offset rim for the back in the fut...

saw a 64 stretched and made into a hauler in Paragould Arkansas. Was completely redone and he wanted $8500. If only I had Jay Lenos money I would have brought it home just to have it.

I agree they are stupid expensive but as bill said, you can't find a complete repop or I would already have one. I dumped stupid money on having an old set of 65 bucket seats completely redone as new so the console was the icing on the cake. Bill I'll let you know about the pattern. I still may buil...

I dropped out at $350 on the green one. It just got too rich for me. Glad the same group of guys wasn't trying to get the mercury one. I wanted to have one for each of my trucks, but at least I have one.

Awesome! On your carb question I would say 2v is fine. I had a 69 with a 300 and it had plenty of grunt with a standard carb and nothing fancy. My fuel injected 91 300 also had plenty of low end for pulling trailers, boats, etc. It did not like taking hills all that much without dropping a few gears...

Missed the last beat up one I saw on e-bay due to a late flight my father-in-law was on. Was calling my daughter and when it came time to bid she is only 11 and couldn't type my password fast enough. There were two on ebay this week and this is the one I sealed the deal on. Actually out of a mercury...

Exactly why I don't live in city limits. Might be some folks in the city wanting to sell me some trucks :) I thought most cities had something similar already so I'm not sure why a state law is needed. City ordinances cover a lot. Something I had to get used to in Arkansas is all the subdivision law...

I'm glad you get to do the color picking. My latest edition has a fabric that feels sorta like velvet or something. By the time I slide into position it has grabbed my shirt and turned it half-way around. I think that vinyl is definately the way to go.

I am thinking of adding one also to assist the radiator. I had thought of going back behind the frame rails with it. Fan on top blowing down. Depends on the size of your setup though.
