Re: prothayne front leaf spring bushings for 61-64?
Here's a good source for universal bushings from Prothane. They also list a cross reference to the equivalent Energy Suspension bushing for each size, if available: http://www.prothanesuspensionparts.com/universal-pivot-bushings.asp I don't have specific experience using them in a leaf spring bushin...

Go man go!
I see you managed to stash most of an inline six (less intake and headers) in between the wall framing.

Re: Why did I wait this long
I hear ya. The last two moves I've brought everything I have in the garage without really weeding through it. It had to get out of the old garage, and it had to get stuck somewhere in the new one, so I'm looking forward to a long overdue shop purge. I'd say it's definitely held back my project as it...

Re: Best mag wheels for a slick
I can think of at least 2 members (who aren't that active anymore) who have run slotted wheels on a Slick, but can't seem to find any pictures (likely due to the recent Photobucket nonsense).

Re: '64 resurrected, opinions wanted
Welcome! Solid colours (mostly bright reds and yellows) were more popular in the late 90's and early 2000's as I recall, with the Easter egg pastel look being earlier. I probably still have some old street rod mags from the time. I will say from my recollection the vast majority of magazine trucks w...

Re: Wood fired garage heat
So are you just trying to draw warm air from the 20" pipe? As in the 4" pipe will just deliver warm air and you'll have a separate chimney exhausting directly outside? Is the 16" concentric inside the 20"? My dad built a wood stove for his ice fishing shack out of a 20 lb propane...

Looks like we've already established it's a '64, but the floor step trim would be further evidence to support that conclusion.

Your right! It seems they have gained popularity with everyone except my wife. Even the longbeds are getting some love these days. They posted an image of another truck a while ago that came from an old album on FTE, that I presume they located through an image search. After some clicking I w...

Re: Unibody Union
Nic: In your case someone took the photo and posted it to their own account, after which Unibody Union saw it and reposted it. I've noticed some of our other members are active on there as well, and there are a lot of other projects I've never seen before. Seems our trucks have gained a lot of popul...

I really like Chip's work but I don't think I'd like someone else making the decisions for me. On the topic of the other loosely car-related shows, the one time I saw Counting Cars I was perplexed as to why he thought finding a late 60's or early 70's C-10 pickup to build for a customer was going to...

Oh Man... thats exciting. They do bulk pricing. You and Me James. Maybe we can get a few more guys from Alberta. All depends on the price. For the price of shipping though we could probably get a panel made up here. Nic Looks like they would nest together nicely for shipping to one of the Montana p...

I'm assuming we're talking about this thread: http://www.slick60s.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=37265&p=307764#p307764 I would actually recommend you determine the significant differences between the F-100 and F-250 hubs, and find out if you could simply bolt a rotor to the back of your existing h...

Re: '64 Driver Side Toeboard
@The Big M, great build thread. I enjoyed looking at it last night. I think my toe board is rotted out a little higher than yours. Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. :) Now that I look closer it seems the damage on yours does extend higher than it did on mine. The lower part is basically flat but you're ...

Mine was gone too, and the replacement floor pan didn't extend up that far. That was one of the pieces that had to be fabricated from scratch on my truck (full disclosure, I hired out this work and didn't do it myself): https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4265/35571511952_30a57cde2b_o.jpg https://farm5.s...
