Re: There's no such thing as a 200,000 mile car!
I drive a 2000 Ford Ranger XLT with the 3.0 Liter engine. It has 220,000 miles on it and runs like a champ! I do standard maintenance on it about twice a year. Best vehicle I've every owned!

Re: Bonhams Auction
Well, I know you guys will give me crap about this… But, I really wanted the 1955 Chevy Bel-Air. It was in terrific original condition and it is the most desirable body style for that year. It could be cleaned up real nice and flipped for a nice profit. Unfortunately, it sold for $14,000 which was a...

Okay, so this is what the joint looks like after everything was put in place. Several of us spent all day on Friday polishing cars. The actual auction is on Monday. http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/ll207/sinc64/AMT_4354_zpsab06627a.jpg http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/ll207/sinc64/AMT_4328_zps7d...

Hey guys, I haven't posted for awhile (been pretty busy). However, I couldn't resist this one... ...The F-100 XL has surfaced yet again. This time at the Wings-N-Wheels Car Show at the Air Mobility Command Museum at Dover Air Force Base. FYI: Car shows don't get much cooler than this one... http://i...

My Brand-X Ride-Along!
Okay, Hopefully, by now you folks know that I'm a bleed-blue Ford guy. My all-time favorite car (after Slicks) is the Cobra Daytona Coupe. However, when the Museum's Curator offers you a ride in the 1963 Penske/Wintersteen Corvette Grand Sport, you don't say "No!" You say "WoooooooHoo...

Re: Back where she belongs!
I guess that I should also explain the other cars in that photo... This was our "Chasing Speed" Demo Day. It was a tribute to Land Speed Record holders. Starting with the 1964 Cobra Daytona Coupe and working backwards... - In 1965, CSX2287 set 23 international USAC/FIA speed and endurance ...

Re: Back where she belongs!
Hey Greg, Danny is absolutely correct! That is the museum's 1936 Bugatti Type 57G "Tank". Winner of the 1937 24-Hours of Le Mans. It is one of the most significant cars in the collection (right behind the Cobra Daytona Coupe - IMHO) ;-) Danny, thanks for posting that link! Best regards...S...

Hi Guys,
This is just a quick update. Back in December, Peter Brock was at the museum to film a documentary about CSX2287. Well, a portion of the documentary is finally available online. Here is the link to it...

Back where she belongs!
Ever since CSX2287 was named as the first car on the Historic Vehicle Association's Registry she has been on a media blitz tour. She has been displayed at the Library of Congress, the Washington D.C. Auto Show, the Philly Auto Show and a bunch of photo shoots for various magazines. But, now, finally...

Re: Shelby Cobra Daytona News
Hey guys, Thanks for the words of support, I really appreciate it! To tell the truth; I really like telling these stories. And, one other bit of museum news: Our "Demo Days" (4th Saturday of every month) have become so popular (we get 600+ spectators at them) that for 2014 we are expanding...
