Alan, This is how far the hood opens on the first part. http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u254/stonezones63/63%20F100%20Pics/63F100332.jpg Paul, I hope that I don't ever encounter that real world testing. I believe that if the hood release came open and the safety didn't catch it that the hoo...

Re: Shrinker Stretchers ????
I finally ordered a set and they arrived this week. Now I can go out and make the new chain guard for my Grandson's bicycle. Kind of an expensive way to make a chain guard but he is worth it. https://www.tinmantech.com/html/lancaster_shrinker_stretcher.php This is what I bought. I decided to g...

Re: forward tilt hood kits
Those are nice. Im guessing they solve the flying hood problem? These kits will stop the hood from coming up and smacking the windshield. If the hood latch releases, it will still come up but I am not sure exactly what it will do. I really don't want to release the hood on my truck just to find out...

forward tilt hood kits
I am building a website for these hood kits. I would like some pics of the hood kits installed on the trucks. If anybody would like their truck in my gallery, I would like to post them there. Please send me an email so I can download the pic. I will not post your name, possibly the state where you a...

Re: Bending a hood?
I had the exact opposite problem with mine. The sides were out further and the center was down. I used a ratchet strap wrapped around the hood and pulled the sides in and that brought the center of the hood up to where it was supposed to be. So I think that your idea of the port-a-power will work. K...

Doc, If you have a Vern Lewis Welding Supply in Tucson, they don't charge extra for outdated bottles. At least at the store by me, they told me that.

Re: Rubber Seals between the inner fenders and firewall
I used the insulating foam that you can get at Home Depot for weather stripping seals. I believe that this was a 3/4" square foam. I glued it on to the fender with the 3M black weatherstrip adhesive. So far it has worked out really well. http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u254/stonezones63/63%2...

I can envision that bus on a late model Ford chassis with a 7.3 diesel and an big door on the back to put the Harley's inside.

Re: Shrinker Stretchers ????
James had suggested these to me.
https://www.tinmantech.com/html/lancast ... etcher.php
This one is a little more expensive but it is made in the USA but I will have to change the jaws to use the shrinker or stretcher.
Any thoughts on this one.

Re: '62 Unibody
Looking good. I like the latch system that you built.
You are getting really busy on this truck.
Are you going to leave the hinges the way that they are. I plan to change Nick's to where they are blended in with the body. I have some ideas on that but I don't have it completely figured out yet.

Re: 1964 F100 body and paint, with a little mechanical stuff
I am having trouble getting my tailgate installed in my 65 short box with a roll pan like yours. Is there a trick to installing it? Some roll pans are closer to the tailgate than others. I made sure that mine was up that close because I didn't want to see much of a gap. Mine was within about 1/2&qu...

Re: 66 with Camero Clip photos
I used a Camaro front clip but I didn't use the stock column. I used a Borgeson u-joint at the column and a Borgeson joint at the steering box.LM14 wrote:Keyston has a Camaro clip in his truck.
