Saw on another group (yes, there are other groups) that somebody had been trying to contact Industrial Chassis for several weeks and was getting no answer. Web pages hadn't been updated and looked like they had closed up shop.
Anyone hear anything?

Re: QA1 front suspension for 67-72 F-100
QA1 is top quality stuff. It should be well sorted out of they wouldn't market it. If you contact them and offer to take them a 65/66 frame they may be able to make something that works with minimal modifications.
Good people to talk to. Used a lot of QA1 stuff on race cars.

Re: '62 Unibody Still Plugging Along
Another followed me home! This is a '26 Ford Model T coupe, putting it on a Model A street rod frame and building a mid 60's style dirt modified. Swap meet and spare parts. The Model A chassis stuff came with a cheapo '32 I had done some trading to get. Sold that fiberglass body last weekend and had...

Re: '62 Unibody Still Plugging Along
Got the unibody dug out! Found everything. Cleaned up an Edelbrock intake and 670 Street Avenger carb to use to break in the engine when the time comes. Project is back on! http://i878.photobucket.com/albums/ab341/Mod94/Z8_zpsj3dlmka4.jpg http://i878.photobucket.com/albums/ab341/Mod94/Z7_zpsycnmr0me...

Re: '62 Unibody Still Plugging Along
I quit updating (and pretty much working) on it when Photobucket screwed everyone over. For some reason it's all back! My latest update is I'm pretty much screwed at this point. I sold a lot of parts off I've kept for years. Spent that money on a Pete and Jake's '32 Ford chassis. Then I ordered a Ne...

Re: Carpet or rubber mat
My '66 had foil insulation on the whole floor, jute padding and a rubber mat. It was very quiet.

Re: Fords big news ... only two cars !
They are banking on a rollback of CAFE requirements to allow them to concentrate on the bigger vehicles. Cars aren't selling, crossovers and pickups are. Ford has a new COO and he's not from the automotive world. He's kind of know as a streamliner, short-timer and not afraid to rattle everyone.

Re: Cab corner patch panels
I bought unpainted Shott (Schott?) panels for my '57. They were horrible. Full of wrinkles, didn't fit. They were nice and thick but I promised myself I would never buy another metal panel made by that company.

Re: Re-focusing my projects!! Time for a change of habits.
Road trip today. The folks at Pete and Jakes Hot Rod Parts would like to have us stop by during Slick Stock! Also might have access to another interesting car spot there they are associated with. Will get Gerry the info and see if it will work with the schedule! https://scontent.fdsm1-1.fna.fbcdn.ne...

Re: Re-focusing my projects!! Time for a change of habits.
Baby steps on the '32 Coupe project. Been gathering parts. Gas tank is here! Had to go to a different set of taillights, the blue dots will not pass the inspection I need to get a title issued. They may get changed out later. Picked up an Old Skool Ididit Hot Rod steering column. Using Dietz headlig...

Re: When did that clock start ?
I have been cleaning my shop every day for the last 2 weeks! Hard core cleaning, throwing stuff away, hauling off scrap and blowing dust off everything. I have found the floor AND the tops of 4 work benches! Amazing. I can now touch all sides of my unibody without having to reach over other stuff. T...

Re: Re-focusing my projects!! Time for a change of habits.
I think that would be fun, Grump! Let's try it on your project first and if it works out well maybe we can do mine second! Your idea and all.... Walker radiator is here! Using a '68 water pump so I can save $50 by using a Chevy outlet radiator (don't tell JC). Radiator support rods, firewall mounts ...

Re: Reduced diameter factory style steering wheels?
Most of the aftermarket, small diameter, stock appearing steering wheels start around $350 and go up from there. They are all GM based, too, that I am aware of. Con2R is one company that makes several different custom style wheels. Take a deep breath before you buy one. https://www.speedwaymotors.co...

Re: Powder Coat Frame?
I'm a big fan of powdercoating. I've been able to get several race car chassis blasted and coated for less than it cost to actually buy all the supplies for a paint job. If you are honest with yourself, the cost of sandpaper, primer, paint, thinner, etc.....way more expensive than powdercoat if you ...
