Re: Project bagged shop truck uni
Ya, thats where the torque box is under the bed floor. Very common rust trap. Mines rotten in the same spot. Theres a couple build threads on here where guys have taken the stock repair aproach, and some with a little custom aproach.

Ya, Jaw on the floor with that last pic. There are so many patches and shitty welds in my cab that I gave up long ago on it ever looking that good. Well done!!

Re: Project SLIXTYFIVE
I've been watching, just to used to seeing southern trucks with NO REPAIR needed that I've forgotten what I started with. Your cab looks like it time traveled all the way to today....just to bad it ended up in your garage and not mine! I am envious!

Thanks! I wasn't going to take it out because of the snow we got the night before, but I figured to hell with the snow and took it out anyway. At least now i know the heater actually works!

Re: Jack's '65
Don't let it get you down. I was at the same pont as you several times with my Mustang, it took me 11 years from buy and tear into to completion. No one expects these to be done in record time, you're not a half hour TV show!! I did farm out the final body work, pannel aliignment and paint. All thin...

Re: The 1964 F100 4x4
You're right, regardless of 2 or 4 bbl, one side of the carb feeds 4 cylinders and the other side feeds the other 4 cylinders, not front to back. the differenence will come in the cfm rating of the carb. as long your 2bbl is rated higher than a 4bbl running on primaries only, you should be fine. If ...

Re: The 1964 F100 4x4
I don't see why it wouldn't work. I run the performer 390 on my mustang with a 600cfm edelbrock (never ever will ever again buy an edelbrock carb) and it runs fine. I don't see your situation being any different than a 4V with mech secondaries. Unless someone knows something I don't.......

Re: 62 shorty uni street rod build
I've been watching your build arod, inspired me to grab a 93 mark viii to start on another one of these! Except this time I'm going to do an old International I've been holding onto trying to figure out what to do with. Now I know, quad cam 4.6 with independent suspension and air bags!

Re: 62 shorty uni street rod build
I kept enough of the cars harness to keep the engine functioning and that was it. I used a Rebel chassis harness for things like the lights, wipers, heater, etc..... The signal lights run through the chassis harness and this was the easiest way. I really could have spent the time to figure it out, b...

Re: 62 shorty uni street rod build
Thanks! I still need to figure out a way to light it at night though. LED's drilled through the MDF maybe. I've got a few months to figure that one out.
On a side note, picked up a '93 Mark VIII last night.......... I see another build in my future!

Re: 62 shorty uni street rod build
K, crappy pic but I'm not waiting untill the spring to take a good shot. I will when the time comes, but right now this is as good as it gets. I didn't want to make my own dash, not a fan of the home made look, so this is the best I could come up with. Took a 65-66 bezel and the crown vic cluster, c...

Re: 62 shorty uni street rod build
Took it to the Long and McQuaid show at their store sometime this summer, but that was really the only one. Hope for a few more shows this next summer. I got the dash done also so the cluster not just 'floating' there banging around. I've got the truck in storage right now and its a little hard to g...

Re: 62 shorty uni street rod build
I fixed the no throttle responce issue, I won't say what it was, cause well, its embarrasing. But its fixed. Road test and all was well at low speed.... so I hit it! Hauls a$$ but won't shift out of first. On to problem 2 of lots!!

Re: 62 shorty uni street rod build
Well, got it moving, but theres still zero throttle responce. Cleared the codes and its still pulling P2104 and P2112. So a little more research.
At least its moveing! Slow as hell but it moves!

Re: 62 shorty uni street rod build
Alright, I got it all together last night, fired it up, stuck it in gear......and nothing!! Checked the tranny and it was low. Ran the engine, topped off the tranny, and still nothing. So for what ever reason I decided to check the trottle in gear, maybe the brakes were stuck? anyway I tried it, no ...
