Dog Dish hubcaps
This is kind of an off the wall question, but did the Slicks 61-66 all take the same style of bottleneck hubcaps? Or were their different versions? Just out of curiosity.

Re: Anyone know?
Here was the post about the concerns of Uship.com. Again, I had no issues, but everyone's case is different.

Re: Anyone know?
That seems really high to me. I had a cab shipped to me Arizona to Pittsburgh and it only cost me about $600. I went through Uship.com as well. A while back some members had some concerns about the information they requested. I didn't have that issue but every case is different. Hope that helps.

Re: 61 292 Y block shift pattern
A custom shifter isn't a bad idea. But to be honest nowadays a manual shift with no power steering is just as good a theft deterrent as an alarm system.

Re: 61 292 Y block shift pattern
Thats funny Rich as thats the exact way he explained it to me as well. Last question. He put new headers on it, but the rest of the exhaust is missing. He said it would need 2 mufflers and 2 tailpipes. Are there diagrams of these exhaust systems and their components? I can seem to find a picture any...

Re: 61 292 Y block shift pattern
Wonder if I can find a shift knob with the pattern on it. I don't think the original had a shift pattern on it.

Re: 61 292 Y block shift pattern
Ok I think I understand. Ignore 1st but it is where it normally is top left of the H pattern. 2nd is bottom left in the H but start there. Would reverse be left and up or right and up?

Re: 61 292 Y block shift pattern
That I honestly don't know. I didn't think the 61 originally came with a 4 speed on the floor. He did say the 1st gear is like driving a tractor, whatever that means. I had just never heard of reverse being left and up. Ive always known all the way to the right and down.

61 292 Y block shift pattern
Looking at a 61 unibody. Its a four speed on the floor but theres no shift knob. May seem like a stupid question but whats the shift pattern? The owner says it came without the knob and he said its a standard H pattern with reverse being all the way to the left and up. Ive never heard of this patter...

Won't be getting my Slick for a couple more weeks but I'm down with a Mac get together sometime. Preferably when its warmer, as we get pounded with the snow here.

Re: Saw this today, may call and check it out. Any thoughts
Very much appreciate all the advice. Ive opted not to pursue. I didn't like how he was unwilling to send more pictures. Not so much looking for a show truck, more of something to have some fun with. Of course I'll do some work to it, but want to enjoy it as well. Thanks guys, the search continues.
