Re: bcook07's Unibody Build
My donor car http://i482.photobucket.com/albums/rr190/ben_cook_07/photobucket-44141-1337279238306.jpg I spent today taking the engine and trans out of the crown vic and sitting it down in the truck. My plan is to use absolutely everything I can out of the vic. Once I have it stripped a local guy is ...

Re: Electric fan install
I have heard a lot of people that dont like the hayden controllers. They go out all the time, either wont kick on, wont turn off, etc. Here is the one I am looking at for my mustang. A bit more expensive but is made to run 2 different speeds. http://www.spal-usa.com/fans/automated/accessories/fanpwm...

Re: Fox Body A/C box
I'll have to measure when I get home. For free, I took it and figured i'd check later. I dont care about losing the glove box or it sticking down below the dash some. and i am sure I will most likely have to do some glass work to create some plenums that i can connect flexible duct work to easily. L...

Fox Body A/C box
I searched and saw the idea brought up alot but i was wondering if anyone had actually gone through with using a fox body mustang a/c box. I pulled one out of a buddys parts car last night for free. Anyone have any experience in this. I want a blend system. I am not a big fan of the classic auto air...

Re: bcook07's Unibody Build
Well things have been slow working on it recently but last night I picked up a 2000 crown vic with 50K on it for $900. It was a state police test car. runs and drives. I also picked up a bunch of steering shaft parts from an 03 vic Saturday from the junk yard.

Re: bcook07's Unibody Build
after taking ASE testing for 2 weekend and a swap meet I finally got a few hours to work on the unit. I got the doors hung and aligned and all the holes drilled for alignment after paint. Now i get to tear it all back apart to paint the jambs and interior. On a side note I am still searching for a d...

Re: bcook07's Unibody Build
Looks good! Love seeing fresh metal returned to where it belongs! What's the plan for the bed floor? Not 100% sure yet. I might get the patch panels that npd sells. or i might mount the fuel tank to the back of the cab and box it in with sheet metal. I didnt get pictures this weekend, but i did get...

Re: Woo Hoo!
Any info on this 12v supercharger? Is it a motor that blows and is suppose to build boost. Had a buddy buy one looked like a duct blower for a boat , or a brake blower nascar uses, didn't doo squat but blow air , had it on a stroked 4.0 in a jeep. Hope you have better results if it is a similar uni...

Re: bcook07's Unibody Build
the front suspension is out of a 05 crown vic but 03-up works. Right now it is a budget build so it is going to get the springs cut down however eventually it will probably get bagged. I only get to work on it on the weekends but I pretty much spend all day sat and sun on it. I am trying to bust ass...

Re: junk yard relays
Here is an example where 87a is used. The two relays are used together and you can get ground for the door lock actuators at all times. depending on which relay is active the opposite supplies the ground for the actuator. http://i482.photobucket.com/albums/rr190/ben_cook_07/photobucket-4395-13321223...

I worked parts for a long time and i have plenty of stories of dumbas...

Re: Any Tranny Guys - 700R4/4L60?
you can get a good tci kit or other stock kit for alot less than 700 dollars. a 700r4 really is not a big deal and there are not a ton of special tools involved in the rebuild. the worst thing it can think of is a couple different snap rings that might be a bear without a compressor tool. One thing ...
