Re: How would I modify a '66 9" to disc?

I've got a '66 LWB that needs the rear 9" axle repaired. The drums and brake assemblies are shot. Brake lines are bad as well. What would it take to convert the rear drum brakes to disc brakes? I'm planning on putting disc on the front I-beams as well along with a new master cylinder, etc. Ive...

I learned a few years ago to steer away from anything other than Dennis Carpenters, thats all I ever use now, alot of other vendors are selling bits and pieces of D C's stuff so every now and then you can catch a deal but usually a little higher,if you break down part cost from all the vendors the DC...

1980-83 Ford made a light duty F100 that used a 4 1/2" bolt pattern. The rotors use the same bearings and seals as the 73-79 F150 rotors that everyone uses. I don't know FOR SURe that they will interchange but might be an option for you. Unfortunately the caliper location is different on the o...

The best is when they tell you the reason the price is ten times what its worth is because it would bring big bux on ebay or barrett-jackson,if you put a little time in it!yet years later it still sits untouched, just a little worse shape. Needs to be an anti-hoarding law in effect for those type of ...

The cheapest ways are ,axle flip gives around 5" drop and a front spring perch flip gives about 3-4" drop, both are easy just depends how much drop you want. You can weld on a new spring pad to your axle top ,cost under $20 or purchase a premade pad that locates off existing pad, cost about $...

Wont work.pre 79 only.80 up were wider and different lengths from pivot point to spring center, would take alot of fab work to make it work. That would be too easy,we cant have that, its got to be difficult to be good for us.
