Looking nice! Love the blue! What brand of paint are you using? What is the color or paint code?

Too nice of a truck for a High Schooler. I think kids need to drive beaters in school to truly appreciate and respect a nice vehicle, a right of passage that should be earned with good driving habits and proper vehicle care and maintenance.

You could add a power steering box and go with a smaller diameter steering wheel.

Very nice! Are you running a different lug pattern between front and rear now, or did you do something with the rear axle?

Your pictures are great! Probably the best step by step suspension swap I have seen! How much $ are you into for the whole swap? How much is the average joe going to have to budget to do this swap?

Re: "Has Anybody Tried This?"
The Rustoleum cans are an 8 oz. So $34 divided by 6 cans= $5.60 for an 8 oz can $5.60 divided by 8 oz= .70 cent per oz The Duplicolor cans are an 11 oz. $8 divided by 11 oz= .72 cents per oz So actually, both brands cost about the same per volume. I have never used the Rustoleum, but I have used the...

Re: Engine Swap Question
I think you have to do something different for front motor mounts as well, like a conversion crossmember.

Steve, when you are done with the motor, what kind of horse power and torque is it going to produce?

Re: 65 cab + 1977 SWB Stepside 4X4?
Anthony's truck build I believe was on a mid 70's 4x4 chassis. You might look over his build pages. Not positive on this, but some where I think I read that the latter chassis are a little wider than the 65 chassis, so one may have to redo body mounts on the frame. I like the project Idea, If I was ...

Re: wiring harness
I made a wiring harness from scratch for my Jeep, pretty simple, but by the time you buy all of the wire, connectors, and the little things that make up a harness, I think it would be cheaper to just buy a universal harness kit. Unless you can get all of the materials needed at wholesaler pricing. :...

I have always found that the best way to approach a basket case project, is to loosely reassemble it to find out exactly what you have!
Will be good for title transfer and vin inspection too, a lot of states would prefer to inspect a vehicle that looks like a vehicle, rather than a pile of parts.

The body looks to be in really nice condition. Looks like a good solid foundation for a project. Put it together this spring and drive it this summer!
