Re: Frame Work - need advice
In my humble opinion, boxing the altered area should provide all the strength needed . If you're planing on some serious abuse, you can use an L shape doubler on the outside of the frame, Between spring perches. It would be over kill for most street driven trucks. :2cents: I'm going to second farmm...

Re: Did I get scammed on my widsheld?
Lesson learned for sure. Mine had no trim. That was one of the first things he asked me. And when he was putting it in he told me if I had the custom cab trim the install price would have doubled. I think he's fully aware he's the only guy in the area that'll install glass on classic cars and he's ...

Re: Need help!!! May have mounted a motor wrong?
I don't think it will be a problem. I know the rear axle pinion and the engine are not supposed to be on the same incline. Hopefully someone will know the correct recommend angles. There is an app for that. Trimec makes a drive line angle app where you hold your phone into the parts of the drive lin...

Re: Old used car dealer tricks and how to spot some of those
The joke where I work is bananas. Just 3 bananas in a rear end will get rid of that howl. LoL. I guess they must work like the sawdust mentioned earlier. I once bought a truck that turned out to have a vacuum leak. When I went searching for it I found a line with only a cigarette butt plugging it......

Re: Sheriff Truck--61 Uni on 08 CVPI
do you think it will make them hard to balance? I had thought about doing the same thing but thought it may mess up the balance of the wheel. I don't think so, but that is a good point. It'll be easy to use some scales and "corner balance" the wheel before I have a tire mounted. I can use...

Re: Canadian-built color codes
Thank you...though that does kill my theory about the 1, 2 or 3 first digit describing the style of tutone. I was guessing that a code that started off with 2 was a standard tutone and 3 was what I called a 'deluxe ' tutone. But your truck's code starts off with a 2 and yet it has the 'deluxe' tuto...
