Re: Windshield gaskets?
Got a brand name for that sealer? Yours truly is the installer... I've done few gasket glasses, on daily driver's and heavy equipment over the years, and done them dry... A year or two down the road they were someone else's problem... I've done several glue in Windows and windshields. Beta prime, is...

Re: Windshield gaskets?
DC it is for my front gasket...
I've had a precision rear gasket on a shelf for quite awhile now, so
I'll get it put in and see how it lasts....

Windshield gaskets?
Who is the current preferred supplier? I've heard bad things about the fit of most our suppliers including Carpenters, Lmc etc. They all appear to have gone to the cheapest supplier... And quality is a roll of the dice as to whether they are to long, short or just right. I'm leaning towards Precisio...

So are you keeping that Chrysler seat cover?
I promise it will wear like iron. But it is an acquired taste.

Re: Slick on a cover magazine with nothing to do with trucks
I would say that is a prop truck, you wouldn't ever pull a trailer, back into the cattle lot or barn...haul hay, Or much else with peep mirrors on the doors.... Useless for all above purposes. Now the door seals being cut off at half way around the door.... That might be farm truck like... But torn ...

Re: Disabling your truck
Let's see, I have a hurst floor shifter, but no clutch peddle... Between 3 and 4 thousand pounds above my original straight axel and no power steering... The engine will only run with the choke fully out. Those reasons alone would drive most lazy opertuneists away. But a true dyed in the wool diesel...

Re: Stumbling dying engine under throttle 223
Ok, it's been years since I had a 223 open, but I remember the pick up tube being a long bolt on affair. call me the nervous sort but, you might have a leak where the pick up tube bolts to the oil pump, or a fracture in the long pick up tube. The extra oil would cover the bottom of the pump, and mas...

Re: Tilt column for straight axel trucks just got a lot easi
Actually the latest update to that thread has found that it Will Not Work. So cutting the original 3/4" worm shaft and cutting flats, for a double D U-joint to mount, is the only current option with an original box. And as for the short column, a custom length flaming River or Idiot were the on...

Are there any members here who have the Studebaker affliction as well as the normal Slicktitus illness? I have inherited the Stude infection from my uncle, who has blessed me with unfinished projects, a 53 champion coupe (-engine trans and windshield) and a 54 comander starlight hardtop (-windshield...

Tilt column for straight axel trucks just got a lot easier..
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1627444-recirculating-ball-steering-box-carnage.html The short of the conversation is you can swap in the newer worm assembly (65 and up) and have a short factory splined shaft, in your straight axel box. (Or vise versa if you can come up with a reason to.) Making ...

At SS in KC a few of you asked what I was getting for milage. I said 16 to 19, and that I hadn't really checked it. It had only been to SS, a few local cruise nights and car shows. I don't have a Odometer on my cheap heads up speedometer, so I have to pull out a map an hand figure milage. So last we...

Does it have the disk drum safety (proportioning) valve on the frame?
If so, is it stuck shut for the rear brakes? have you checked the rubber line to the rear axel for internal damage that is plugging it...

Re: America going thru tough times
It has been reported that there are groups (organized crime) who use any protest to agitate and cause riots and loot stores professionaly during the riots( think it was a 60 minutes story). Selling the loot on EBay and dark web sites... The fires are a great way to cover their tracks. Stores and ins...
