Re: Need an opinion on Prop Comp heads.
AFR heads are pretty much the way to go. Yea you will fork over $1600 but they give a 100 HP increase on a roller 5.0 with NO other mods. This was dyno proven by one of the magazines (I can't find the article right now). Pretty tough to pick up that much HP for that kind of cash aside from a power ...

Re: If you had about $500 and could pick any used engine ...
For $1000 you can probably find a good roller cam 5.0 from a Ford Explorer, find a decent looking one in a junkyard it's likely there due to a blown $3000 tranny but otherwise in good shape. Mate that with a good used M5OD (90-96 F 150s), you can use a stock brake master for the clutch master and i...

I don't understand how Nadine doesn't fit anymore?
The style she is finished in matches the era of the song.
She's now just wearing a nice white wedding dress,
after all the years and work it's about time you 2 had a honeymoon.

Re: can i install a aod transmission out a 1995 econoline?
I wouldn't use the AODE - cost too much for the electronic management unless you also swap in the EFI engine to go with it.
Get yourself a non electronic AOD and use the Lokar TV cable - Speedway has a good price on it.

Aaron, I have used a few different companies and have had the best treatment, pricing, and claims service with Shelter. This was for classic car stated value, normal vehicle ins, commercial vehicle, motorcycle, home owners - you name it. As a self employed driver I don't dare not have the best cove...

Since my 79 is my daily driver it has had to take some precedence over the 64. I know some of this is cosmetic and doesn't affect it's value as transportation but I just couldn't handle looking at it like it was. Part of that is it just seemed a shame for what is actually a pretty decent old truck ...

Re: Slickstock rooms
I've got a reservation.
I just want to split the costs with someone.
I think I have ground floor too.
She asked if I needed any special accommodations so I told her of the arthritis in my knees.
I think she said she would get me ground floor.

Anybody want to share a room (and split the cost of course) for Friday and Saturday?
Also Brian aka Iceman may need to share one for a couple days late in the week too.

Doc, if Used will do find yourself a 91-93 Ford Escort with the 1.9 and a 5 speed. I capped at 93 because in 94 they got airbags. They are exactly what you described 40 MPG, no over loaded BS, and stupidly reliable, parts are cheap. Nice one is about $1500 and they do come in a 2 door. Just be sure...

I have a Kobalt from Lowes. All welded (not folded and riveted) stainless construction, very heavy duty wheels, power panel, comes with drawer liners. Upper & lower boxes for under $1000. VERY easy to keep clean! I would and will buy another lower cabinet - to replace the craftsman POS my air t...
