I am working out a design that could be fit on any tailgate at least the stepsides for now. The challenge is getting a consistent top tube dimension. This was trial and error. I just load tested tonight at 200 LBS. YEA, thats right, I sat on it!

I am working on a 65 stepside. There are not straps or cables and the tailgate is useless because it would swing down and hit the exhaust tips. I did this last weekend and finished it last night. You can buy 65-72 brackets from abspowerbrakes that has a cut out for the top grease cap but I don't use the grease caps anymore with this setup. I added a link to the help section. I just got done fabbing up a spare tire carrier. It looks like it is on the bed floor but it is off the floor about an 1" give or take. Can be made for whatever height needed. Out for powder coat Monday.
