I thought I remembered a previous discussion about these, thanks for the link. I'll try to get a good scan of the one in my owners manual. There may be enough interest to make a few for the 4x4 guys. Anyone got the measurements of the original?

Re: Bench Seat Upholstery
Mine is s a V8 and has one, but it is also a Custom Cab. I don't know if the embossed gear and lightning bolt was specific to Custom Cabs.

Look up SMS Upholstery in Oregon. They can send you original style fabric with the gear and lightning bolt embossed.

Looking for 4x4 visor decal
Does anyone have a high resolution scan or a photo of the transfer case shift pattern decal that was on the driver's side visor on some 4x4s? The one with the drawing of a truck in each 4x4 gear. What are the approximate measurements of the decal?

That's been about my experience with LMC. Imported parts that don't fit or last. Maybe you can have it powder coated white to at least salvage what you have.

I think you should keep the 65 and sell me the 70 .... my favorite bump grille. The 65 looks good in the pix, better than one of my projects.

Re: 1965 f100 4x4 wrong bed whats it worth
It wouldn't have had a small block from the factory. You'd learn more about its history an find out if the transmission and transfer case worked, if it had much rust, a clear title....on and on. It all comes down to what you are willing to pay to get it and then where you want it to be when you are ...

Re: Are your Slicks put away for the Winter!
We have to deal with so much salt on the roads here that I won't take it out until the rains wash off the roads in the Spring. I did get out and play in the first snow a few years ago before the plows got started. Once the salt is on the roads, I'm done.

Re: lost
If you change out the back gears, you will have to also change the front gears, they are set up to run the same. There are options out there for putting discs onto the closed knuckles, but they are expensive. I can't remember the company, you could do a search on this site. Another option is to inst...

Re: 65 4x4 on eBay
It is a factory 4x4 with the 3000 lb front axle. The price is not yet too high, but it hasn't yet met the reserve. I like the flare side and the factory grille guard. Send him a question to get his number and call him then buy it and drive it home!

Re: Needing Help Finding a Fairlane
Looks like a possible one on Woody's Fairlane site, it's the last one on the For Sale section, I don't know how to do the link thing. I'll also keep an eye out for one on the Fairlane Club of America site....you have to pay to belong to that one. Most of the 2 door sedans have been gobbled up to mak...

Re: have you driven your slick this year?
Way too much salt on our streets. I wanted to take it out the night it snowed, before the salt was put down, but that didn't happen. For now it will be inside until the Spring rains. I saw a nice red 64 4x4 near my house before it snowed, but haven't seen it since.

Not much mention of it in the local media. I put my flag out early and didn't see another in the neighborhood. People do seem to forget.

Stinkin' Ebay
I've always used the * sign as a wildcard when searching Ebay for my truck and Fairlane parts by typing in 196* F100 or 196* F250. It would bring up all the years through the 60s from 1961 to 1969 without having to conduct a separate search for each year. I just tried it tonight and got "Search...

Re: 66 250 4x4 Brakes!
I just replaced my front hoses a year ago. No auto parts stores have anything close to what you need. I sent mine to a hose company in Michigan, I can't remember who, and they simply copied my originals. I think I did an internet search for brake hose companies and called them up. The rear hose was ...

64 Fairlane back from paint
It took more than two years, but I just got my 1964 Fairlane back from paint from the same guy that painted my truck. It is Guardsman blue and has a 289 2bbl with a 4 speed top loader. Tons of work to do as it is a rolling shell, no glass or interior. I have boxes and boxes of parts in and above my ...

Nice 66 Ranger on Kansas City CL/uni tailgates on Mineap. CL
I saw a nice 66 Ranger, looks original, has buckets, console and no rust on Kansas City CL. Also a couple uni tail gates in rough, but maybe fixable condition on Minnneapolis CL. Not mine and I don't know how to post direct links.
