Re: bcook07's Unibody Build
Yes, That is the stock crown vic fuel tank in the back. I used the stock tank, pump, and fuel filter/bracket assembly. I just used unions and 5/15 steel brake line sticks (60") to run from the tank outlet to the filter assembly that i mounted on the side of the frame. From the filter to the eng...

Re: bcook07's Unibody Build
So I know i am really bad at documenting the progress of my truck but with the holidays things have been slow. I did get the shock mounts welded to the rear end and shocks on the truck. Then I made the exhaust from the x-pipe back. I was able to use the stock tail pipes off my bullitt mustang I had ...

Re: Rewiring- Best place to buy
I would suggest a Rebel Wire harness to anyone.
http://www.rebelwire.com/
The kits are made in the USA. I am using one(a 9+3 kit) currently in my Unibody project and it is very well made and has good instructions. Definately worth checking out.

Re: bcook07's Unibody Build
I am going to be running late model mustang wheels so i wanted a wider rear end for one and the 8.8 is a disc brake unit. oh and i already had the rearend. I was going to flip the axle anyway so for just a little more work I get disc brakes.

Re: bcook07's Unibody Build
Well I did get to work on my truck friday night and sunday. I got some more wiring done for the cooling fans and was able to connect my scan tool (autoengunity) and check codes and graph some 02 sensor and coolant temps. I was also able to check codes. I have a few but they are all egr/evap and rear...

Re: bcook07's Unibody Build
Just a quick update. I spend this weekend running wiring and integrating the factory efi harness with the rebel wire harness I bought. For example, for the ecm switched power wire, i feed the "coil" wire off the rebel harness. I also had to wire up the starter relay and the transmisson ind...

Re: bcook07's Unibody Build
I got to work on the unibody Sunday. I had already gotten most of the filler work done and 2 coats of primer on it. I sanded it, primed again, sanded and put the color on. I am just using the implement paint with a hardener on the core support, firewall, and inner fenders but it seems to work really ...

Re: bcook07's Unibody Build
Well I got to work on the truck a little bit this weekend. I ended up building the column drop and getting the steering column mount finished. I was able to use the crown vic shift cable brackets that unbolt from the base of the column and weld them to my gm column and got the shifter working good. ...

Re: bcook07's Unibody Build
A couple more pics. I got the radiator mounts finished up. Since the radiator, condensor, trans cooler and power steering cooler is all built into one bundle i was able to use the factor rubber mounts and put them into tabs i welded on the frame. I also made a couple angle iron brackets and welded th...

Anyone make fender mounts
I went to put my fender back on the passenger side of my unibody and remembered that when i took it apart, the mount that bolts to the firewall and has the 2 holes in it is missing.
Does anyone know if that is re-poped or if it is the same on all the trucks or is that a unibody deal only?

Re: Fox Body A/C box
I know this is old but I tried to stuff the fox box under the dash this weekend. It was not happening. Just too wide. Now i am searching for another option. I know I could go aftermarket but using oe stuff is more in my budget if i can find something that will fit.

Re: Fast N' Loud 69 Ford Truck
They went with the green because according to the vin it was the original color of the truck.
Looks like a shiny version of primer to me, im not a huge fan. but overall I think it is one sharp truck.

Fast N' Loud 69 Ford Truck
Anyone else see the episode of Fast N Loud with the 69 F100 the build. I was loving it when they threw the crown vic ifs in and used the 4.6 DOHC. The bad part is that crown vic sub prices just went up. http://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/c58.0.843.403/p843x403/544462_261653760612395_1...

Re: Yes another Crownvic/Uni 88 and 62
I would recommend the 03 up vic subframes to anyone. They are extremely easy to put in and give you power rack and pinion steering and 11" disc brakes. If you are putting a modular engine in it i would definitely recommend it. With my unibody on the 03 vic sub i put 03 mounts on the 4.6 engine ...
