Re: When some things get so high, they fly out the window….

That's when i noticed the right rear was de-laminating. Cheapest tire set I could find was 886.00 insta...

Re: Removing choke cable knob

you can not, its molded in. your only option is to replace it

if replacing all your knobs with different, you will have to adapt your new knobs to old set up

Patrice and I got home yesterday about mid afternoon, we had a great time and also want to thank Blake, Rebecca, Darrel and Robbin for all they went through in the last three years for everyone's enjoyment, your efforts were appreciated. As we came home to temps in the high 90's, gas prices @ $1.34 ...

Re: Unibody Tailgate Supports

I made some some years back and offered them for 75.00 plus the ride or 50.00 at slickstock. Kevin tried putting my name out there but I got no response after stating the price. He seems to have had better luck with his attempt. either way I will have them at SS if it is not cancelled.

Re: 300 finally died. Motor is out.... what now?

As far as your trans, final gear on both the three speed and four speeds (not counting three speed w/od) are 1:1. I would not go higher than 3.25 on the rear gear unless someone who has done so can give you the facts on what else they have done to motor, rear tire size ect. I put a T-5 behind my sto...

Re: Steve's 64 Short-bed Project

Steve I put a Mustang T5 in the Turk with a final gear of .68, rear is a 3.50. I turn just over 2100 at seventy and average 22 mpg with my 292Y block. never got much over 12 mpg with the original T98 and 3.89 gears so I am happy as a pig... now it is still a little tourque-y in first-3rd but I also ...

Re: Distributor

a 300 will fit your 223 with mods you will need to bore out the 223 drive gear to fit, and either replace your oil pump to a 64, or adapt hex drive key from 5/16ths to 1/4" on one end.
By the way a core is just a core ,use your parts dizzy as one

Re: Pertronix Install Problems

When working the cranes at the Crockett sugar refinery, we would always tell outside contractors to place the ground wire where they were welding rather than where the welder was, sometime up to 100 feet away and 60+ in the air. If we did not catch them we would be replacing dc motors somewhere on t...

Re: Bonyard Recommendations 4WD F100

I have seen a parking brake set up that uses a drum on the trans tail shaft? Section 11-2 in the 61 shop manual has a good detail on them.
